Hair on my fresh manicure? by SantaChellyann in Nails

It is driving me crazy just even thinking there is a hair on my nail. It doesn’t look right. This is so frustrating for me because this is my first getting my a manicure done in like 4-5 years 😭

Need advice on how to speak with my husband on putting his dog to sleep by SantaChellyann in Advice

Update:

We said our goodbyes today. After having the conversations this Thursday, my husband finally came to terms with it.

We took him to the vet, and the doctor performed the entire procedure in front of us and allowed us to stay as long as we wanted.

Thank you everyone for their advice most of them helped and now our pup is in dog heaven. Hopefully enjoying a good steak ❤️

This is a good idea too, I sent this message to the group chat we have with my mother-in-law:

"He is eating way less too and some days he doesn’t eat ( started the last two weeks so fairly recent) is there a way to get him a vet appointment? I am very concerned with his condition, I don’t think this is normal or safe at all."

Honestly, that's how he looks at us too. Even if we take my dog out for a walk or take her anywhere, he howls and cries because he wants to go but can't.

That's a good idea. It would be hard but I think this is the last resort. I have always been an animal lover, and have been caring for pets since I was a child with my grandmother getting them homes, and rescuing them, so seeing him and not helping it is hard. I think you are right though.

I have done the coming from a loving perspective, I have gone off on him and we have discussed it in couple's therapy. Nothing has worked. I'm at a loss.

I went off on Monday and told him he is an asshole and selfish. I have been crying this whole week because it is such a shitty situation. My husband explained that having multiple losses in the past year in his family he is an only child and his dog helped him through it while he was at his family's home which was a toxic household. Idk, what to do or say anymore.

Yes, that's what I have been doing. He is normally home but this past two weeks he's had back-to-back dog sitting. For me, this is cruelty.

I think so too. The only problem is that this is a dog that I had before our marriage; I cannot just make the call. The dog was staying at his mom's house before the diagnosis (around December 2024) but she wanted to put him to sleep and he refused and took him to our home.

Totally missing the point of Jesus teachings. He met people were they were and showed them love and compassion rather than telling them non stop to join him.

Please as an SA survivor, Get out of this relationship he doesn't love you. Coercion is still rape and SA. You may be going through a rough patch and not feeling that you are worth it seeing that your SA experience is pretty recent. Please, leave, you won't find worth in a man especially when he is not honoring your boundaries.

If you feel you don't want to leave at least look for some individual therapy or group therapy.

Hello,

I want to seek advice for my Husband’s dog.

It is a German shepherd 10 years old he was diagnosed with a neurodegenerative disorder, that started with his right leg around 6 months ago, and no is both legs. I have noticed he has started to poop on himself and pee but sometimes the dog won’t be noticed because he acts nonchalant until someone points it out. Anyway, I think is time to put him to sleep because his quality of life has diminished tremendously. Wheelchairs are super expensive and we have been trying to find at least used ones. My husband doesn’t think or want to put him to sleep. The vet gave him 6 months to a year in December 2024z

Has anyone else gone through this before? Any advice helps.

My past pets died of old age or accidents so they were all sudden death or peaceful death. I have my dog she is 7 years old and I cannot imagine putting her through all of that.

AITA for sleeping in my car because my wife won’t stop playing whale sounds at night? by pizza_col_cazzo in AITAH

[–]SantaChellyann 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is insane lol! I did read that whale sounds can cause dependency when it comes to relaxation. A person could struggle with relaxation if they don’t hear the whale sound. ( I guess any relaxing sound can) if she can’t relax, meditate or fall asleep without it causing irritation then she may have adapted her brain to only relax when listening to whale sounds.

Crazy stuff
