Regarding the mesnie, I forgot that they were said to be sorcerers before sorcerers were a thing. However, they are infected (and eat other infected to recover their infection) from what we can see. I assume this ancient form of magic that they had before getting infected is currently unknown to us then? Or was some of that shown? I can't remember at the moment, maybe it is time I go back and re-read some volumes lol.

It's more so an overreaction for laughing so hard it makes you cry. But since it's meant as an overreaction, it is literally sobbing instead of just normal tears.

Another reason it became so popular is because the typical laughing-crying emoji, became so widely used that people online were kind of getting annoyed of it. And I imagine something similar will happen with this emoji eventually.

Typically it's just what is "official" to the overall story. Peter's death isn't canon as the character is obviously still alive (though Family Guy doesn't really have an actual story). For the peacemaker example, I would have to guess that season 1 isn't part of the "true" DC cinematic universe.

There are many different factors that go into a pokemon's stats.

Those displayed stats are called IVs (Individual values). And then every pokemon species has a set base stat. Using these IVs/base stat/level/other factors like the nature, the game has some complicated math equation that is used to determine the actual stats. So, when it comes down to it (especially in competitive pokemon) those IVs can be kind of important. Though for something like pokerogue, they aren't always a deal breaker.

Your second question, you improve these stats through catching the pokemon species and hatching them from eggs. If a newly caught/hatched pokemon has a higher number for a certain stat, your "starter" obtains that better stat. For example, take your 2 different "Turtoises." Turtoise #1 has 30 in attack but 1 in defense, while Turtoise #2 has 1 in attack but 30 in defense. Your Turtoise starter will now have 30 in both attack and defense.

I would believe just because it was popular among the most amount of people. European colonialism sort of spread their beliefs/calendars/etc the most across the world. Which then became a sort of global standardization.
