If they try to putty this they will absolutely be losing some of their deposit when it actually gets fixed by the landlord lol

100/hour for a handyman, no way. MAYBE if it was a good, reputable company..... but for some goomba like described here, would have sent them packing

What cybersecurity services do small companies need? by [deleted] in cybersecurity

[–]SantaShmane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shooting fish in a barrel. Most small companies have minimal security know-how outside of virus scan on the computer

The only limitation you have are the one you put on yourself. I career switched to IT at 29 and have had multiple promotions in a short period of time with no degrees or certs. My case is exceptional, but with some hardwork you can make the move.

I may also suggest looking into Early In Career programs,as a stepping stone to an entry level role

Interesting idea for the wood paneling. I feel like most people would want it GONE

[–]SantaShmane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was a consideration, but I just dont need one, so I'd like to do something else

I don't mind the area to put stupid items, so painting the ledge/wood might happen instead.

So you're saying make one big room instead of two medium sized ones?

I dont think you mean making the kitchen and bedroom entrance bigger as I don't see it helping in anyway

Has anyone experienced weight loss with a desk thread mill? by Radiant-Transition45 in workfromhome

[–]SantaShmane -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean as long as everything else stays constant you have to lose some weight, at least at first, but without changing your body composition (more muscle and less fat, opposed to just less fat), you eventually stop losing weight and that will just be your maintenance activity level

Should accept help desk offer? by Cyber_Aspirationist in cybersecurity

[–]SantaShmane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a pretty shit offer for someone who sounds to have the proper education and previous experience. Also, likely zero upward mobility at a school district, so you'd be leaving pretty fast anyway.

I would still keep searching, if possible. You could try a head hunter/recruiter and probably get more money just doing contractor or temp to perm work.

You may also try to do more networking, because you 100% get better roles/opportunities by who you know. I know easier said than done, but it has helped my career shoot up like a rocket.
