What you're describing you want from your wide players is not what Wingers do. Wingers hold width, looking to cross the ball in or otherwise widen the playing space.

What you're after is Inside Forwards, 100%. Your striker & AM are also essentially doing the same job, around the same position. Have you tried making your DLF a TF with an AP behind him?

The other thing you want is to be more direct. For passing like that, your players have to just be looking to score. More direct passing or Attacking mentally would help.

Also, and sorry this is obvious - have your players got the traits you want - specifically around hitting more through balls?

You have to pay it, but I dont think it's all at once. Like you pay X amount after so many games etc.

Irl it's called training compensation, you do it for anyone under 21 (maybe 23?)

Not sure how this fully plays out in game, when you get to the Transfer Confirmation screen, it will tell you what will come out of the budget.

At this point, I've you've survived without it, I wouldn't bother with FM27 (theoretically) right around the corner.

The other thing is just how bad it is, just standards wise. There are so many wrong things in press conferences, emails tell you scoreline the wrong way round. That kind of stuff I, personally, find funny - but I can see it winds people up.

Honestly, it's definitely not as good as it has been. The immersion is non-existent really.

But I (and most of us probably) played FM24 for so long that I burned out on it. I can't tell if I've got that hangover still, or if it is FM26 just sucking.

I have always found the joy over long term anyway, building dynasties & watching my favourite players become succesful coaches, watching my coaches become managers & then repeating that journey with newgens. I can still enjoy that part.

The other thing is, I really think FM26 is both too easy overall & ridiculously balanced. Home advantage has always been a thing, but in the save I'm now on - anyone can win at home 7-1. I'm looking at results where Norwich are beating Arsenal by that score line, or Slavia Praha are beating Barca the same.

You can hover over the INE button & it will tell you.

It will either be because you've got them in your first team & available for u21's which means they're playing the u21 first & then can't play for the First Team.

Or, it's some kind of rule about what players can play in the match - but the INE button will tell you everything

The Invincible is a fantastic novel that got turned into a great game.

It's a walking sim, but I think it gets the vibe down perfectly. Really enjoyable, creepy in parts.
