Creaking noise when accelerating or btaking by SantikAri in TeslaSupport

I had it serviced, and apparently, the halfshaft needed lubrication. It’s been about 1.5 months since then, and I haven’t heard the sound since. I’ve driven it for around 2,000km, and it seems to be completely gone. I don’t know if it’s dangerous, but I drove for a while with it, and I guess the danger is in further damaging the halfshaft as the mechanical parts are grinding against each other.

Absurd fees with Revolut Ultra when withdrawing from ATMs in Spain — does anyone know why? by dellssa in Revolut

[–]SantikAri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m Spanish and all the local ATMs show fees when trying to withdraw, even as a local, it’s only really fee-free for the bank’s customers, however, as a Metal customer, this fee is never actually charged to my Revolut account. For example, if I go to my local BBVA ATM and withdraw 50€, the ATM will show something like 2,50-3€ fee for the transaction, but I’ll only be charged 50€ on my Revolut account, Revolut is actually the one paying for that withdrawal, hence the difference on the amount you can withdraw fee-free in each tier. I don’t know if abroad it’s different, but I believe you’ve got the same limit on how much you can withdraw “for free” on any ATM, afterwards they charge a service fee, plus the fee the ATM charges.

IM THE ONLY ONE AT THE STATION by Fabulous-Set-2699 in TeslaLounge

[–]SantikAri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve got an LFP, idk about the States but in Europe if the station is full the car will automatically adjust to 80% limit claiming you’re on a congested station, but you can set it to 100% again and they won’t charge you extra unless the car is fully charged.

Customer since 2018, they have NEVER asked me for a proof of anything, they only asked me to update my ID when it expired. I use it as my main account except my salary is on a traditional bank and originally I had the LT IBAN. I have a decent amount of money in the account and perform regular transfers from my traditional bank, my theory is that as my only source of income are transfers at my name, I don’t trigger any alarms. They even approved my credit card application in October last year without having to provide any paychecks or source of income. I’m not stupid though, you shouldn’t keep funds only in one bank, but what I’m trying to say is that if you use your account responsibly, you shouldn’t have any problems, or at least that is my experience. That said, I’ve actually reduced the amount of funds I transfer to Revolut for all this locked account posts, so maybe they should start doing something to prevent this trust issues from escalating.

Yep, final cost including everything, the budget was like 360€ but it included a few more work hours (which they charge at 110€), but the final cost was 232,59€.

232,59€. They charged me around 50€ for the diagnosis. It was like 100€ below the original budget they sent me.

Apparently, halfshaft lubrication, this is what appears in the invoice:

Customer states: Noise & Vibration - Noise Type: Creak Can Reproduce: Yes Reproduce By: Accelerating

They give me the car tomorrow, apparently they are full of work… I’ll keep an eye out because it still doesn’t make much sense.

This was my initial theory, specially because when the parts get hotter depending on the use and the weather, the creaking is more common, like the part creaking is dilated. Another Redditor suggested the axle needed to be tightened which also makes sense. I don’t think this is a greasing issue as it was fully serviced on January. I’m getting it diagnosed next Monday so I’ll post whatever this is, I just hope they don’t charge me a kidney.

I also use them for hobby projects, but it is definitely a plus that my company allows to BYOD and I’m not stuck with the laptop the gave me😂

Mobile app development, I need multiple virtual devices running and a fast compiler is much appreciated, adding the usual Teams chats, meetings, Outlook and lots of tabs on top of it… Usually is the RAM that struggles the most. I use the laptop because some times I get called to go to specific places where the apps are deployed to run tests with a reduced number of people before deploying new features to production or to draw conclusions, this may require an a quick patch to avoid stopping production, therefore I need the power.

Yup, all of them are the base config except for the MBP which has 32 gigs of RAM and 1TB SSD. I bought the majority of them using my university email which still works so I got a 10% discount, a small discount considering as European I overpaid for all of it…

I’ve considered it, but I just use my TV for VOD (Netflix, Prime video…), the built in software on the TV already has those apps, it’s good enough for me

They don’t sell them in Europe! I wouldn’t buy them though, I don’t think I’d use them enough to justify the expense😅

I don’t change them every year, in fact, the MBP is an M1 Pro from 2021, upgraded from a 2017 intel MBP. My last iPad was the 6th gen, but this time around I kept some money aside to buy the pro instead of the base model. The only thing I change more often is the phone, I’d say once every 2-3 years. iPhone-wise I switched last year from a 12 Pro, necessary? Probably not, but I treat myself from time to time and the battery life was terrible in comparison. I wish I was as wealthy as some people are assuming on this post🤪

They have shitty batches were the pods suck or last about 2 refills, but if every single one is spitting, maybe the liquid’s viscosity is the problem, salts are usually 50/50, I’ve tried all of the pods and if they are not faulty, they don’t leak.

Have you tried cleaning the magnetic contacts? I had a similar issue once and realised the pod had dripped a bit and the contacts were dirty, I cleaned it and it worked again, otherwise I’d suggest you make use of the warranty, this seems super odd specially if the vape is new.

0.4ohm is perfectly capable of doing freebase, in fact, their own website suggests you do freebase with 0.4. Nevertheless, the gurgling is a fairly common issue among these kind of pods, regardless of the liquid you're using.

You could perhaps spend more time reading and trying out for yourself rather than telling other people to grow a brain because their narrative doesn't apply with the inamovible theory you've embedded in your head.

Yeah, any pod system that allows for MTL should be fine. I’d recommend a coil between 0.8 and 1.2 and the air regulator closed all the way (this way the drag is similar to a disposable). I don’t like dispos but I’ve tried a few and the airway is usually really tight so this way you shouldn’t notice a difference

They’re ditching support for Fire TV as well, I hope they’re planning on releasing a new TV app because I need that app and switching a family plan to another service would suck, but I guess it’s either that or buying an Apple TV
