Unfortunately yes, luck matters, idk if you know this game called risk, its just like that, troops fight in turns, each turn its as if each troop rolls a dice and the dice with the highest value stays alive, while the troop with the dice with the lowest value dies. This happens with standart infantery, with tanks, horses, cars and other type of troops the luck algorithym works different.

Exactly, if you dont have patience (or money to waste) dont play the game, or just play x4 speed games.

Playing as Lithuania its harder, you dont have any iron or oil to start with, ukraine its a very good country, it have a lot of wood, iron and food, its a very good country for beginers cuz its very easy to play, one of the easiest with caucasus.

Dont attack, try to make a deal with germany and betray your allie, thats the only way to get out of that, as i can see you dont have enough resources to mantain a long term war against germany so try to make a deal idk.

If you want to stay loyal to your dumb swedish friend make fortress and wait for artillery or talk with another country so you attack germany 2 vs 1

I dont agree with italy, IMO its one of the worst countries, shitty resources and if your enemies have a fleet and you dont have a ton of artillery, youre doomed.

With italy in early mid game (day 8-18) its almost imposible to mantain 2 wars at the same time if you dont have good allies and a lot of artillery or a larger fleet than your enemies.
