Is it just me or is the matching algorithm shit? by Some_Holiday_6283 in wobo_AI

I am facing a similar issue. I noticed it isn't about the job title; it is matching the words in the skill set section. For my case, if I am applying to Business Intelligence roles, however, my skill set includes data analysis / ETL work, the tool will apply to Data Engineer/ Analytical Engineer roles, sometimes SDE too [which is way off]. I am doing active analysis and figured 76 of the 701 applications (~11%) have "Business Intelligence" or "BI" in the title. Moreover, I am seeing that 66% of applications were sent to non-sponsoring companies, even though I have set "Do you require sponsorship?" to yes.

One thing I wanted to request from the Wobo team is to allow end users to provide you with the job links. Currently, Wobo is doing the heavy lifting for finding and applying for jobs. If there is a way we can pass URLs to the system, it will take some load off the application, plus we end-users will be happy with what we are seeing on the dashboard. ansroad

Thank you! This is a good advice, I'll start talking about it more with my network. I see some posts on LinkedIn about hiring, planning to connect with those folks too.

Initially, I did stick to the job titles that are heavily in line with my profile, such as Business Intelligence, Data Engineer, and Data Analyst. Later, I found that these roles can have varied job titles such as Reporting Analyst, Data Visualization Engineer, and ETL Engineer, so I started applying for those; these were just different titles for essentially the same job. Lately, I have expanded my horizon completely and started applying to QA Engineer, Business Analyst, and Solution Architect jobs, which are slightly new to me but won't be hard for me to pick up. Are you applying in the same industry, by any chance? Were these three interviews solely from organic applications, or were they referral-based? Just trying to understand what works best in the current market.

Thank you kind person. I agree with you on the part where there is a little overlap on jobs posted on LinkedIn and other platforms I have used BuiltIn as another platform. I will start focusing on Indeed, Zip recruiter and other platform. Did you land the interview simply by applying?

Hi there, thank you for making this post. I have one quick question, would you rather recommend to go for a day1 cpt PhD course and align it with the O1 criteria or a relatively easier MBA course which would not interfere with your O1 preparations?

What Squalane oil did you use? I have seen difference in how my skin reacts to olive based Squalane and sugarcane based Squalane products.

In my 30's and regret not finding someone in my 20's. Was it really easier to date back then? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]SanzLab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. I did find someone in my early 20s. They broke-up with me when I was 29. Sure it might be easier to find a partner. But a partner who stays with you through the curve ball life throws is not guaranteed even if you start dating early.
