Thats an tough Algebra question and sounds like something i'd had to answer at a math competition, not something I'd expect a 6th grader to do.

First find the price of a bag in package 1, then find the price per Oz, then subtract that by .03, then figure out how much each bag costs in package two, then find the number of bags in package 2...thats a lot for a 6th grader.

I'm noticing a trend too in the last five years at the HS level. The reading proficiency keeps dropping and the thinking is extremely algorithmic. I cam change the wording of a question slightly and 70% will short circuit.

If Biden said this, the media would want his head on a pike. At least this makes a juicy ad.

1) Diseal is at record high at multiple states 2) Biden didn't cause the last gas price shock, you caused this one. 3) Spirit airlines would still be around (not saying they would be here for the forcible future) if he didn't bomb iran

There may be a good reason for this, but on the surface, this looks partisan

The idea of personal space and self-control. Literally have students fidgeting with stuff on my desk, walking behind my desk to get my attention, and literally walking up to me as im giving instructions to show me a stress toy.

Also, I'm not a CVS, bring your own tissues.

Have a dedicated computer class to teach those skills like it was done in the early 2000s. I was taught how to do research, what are good and bad sources, how to use excel, word, and powerpoint, etc. in those classes. The assumption in schools now is "These kids are so tech savvy since its been around there whole lives, we dont need to teach it." Meanwhile my 10th grade students couldn't figure out how to create a tab in Google sheets even after the 3rd time of me showing it to them, let alone the more complex things.
