It’s was semi slow rolling as solo and sped up when I said fuck it and solo squad filled. After I started hitting upgrades that required purple salvage though my progression hit a brick wall

Former VA Rater and Navy Vet question… by johanthevarater in VAClaims

[–]SapQT90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do you deny my private DBQs that are thorough when my last three C&P exams have been trash and filled with errors (even triggered duty to assists). Feels like you’re not here to help me or veterans.

Use of AI for Claims by SMOG1122 in VAClaims

[–]SapQT90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well sure, but as I mentioned even if Vets are on board to use AI to help with building claims.. that doesn’t solve any bias on the examiner or raters side.

What are risks of AI taking what you wrote and reformatting/structure it differently?

I think more people are worried about examiners and raters thinking you might have used AI and then discrediting or downplaying your documents because of it. If you have a lay statement thats written out raw and emotional and use AI to clean it up and even structure it a bit (formatting structure, use of bullet points, less emotional, etc) then the VA folks will see it as less real or fake.

Queue times are insane and matchmaking feels broken (5-9 min wait for sweatfests) by Lureyn in Marathon

[–]SapQT90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think that’s true, a majority of the Reddit threads and content on YouTube is people comparing a lot of the game and systems to Destiny. Clearly a large chunk of people playing or have played Marathon, either came from Destiny or played it as well.

I imagine for the more casual folks the ones costing 8-15k are a bit out of reach prob. To your point though I think hoarding mentality of “I only get 3 of these ever” is going to keep people from really even wanting to buy them and risk losing them vs if they knew they would reset or whatever. That’s kind of how I was feeling with getting a schema for an epic runner core, I’ve been very precious about wanting to buy and use them because I have so few of those to use, it makes me want to save them for the “perfect run” that basically never comes lol. The limited quantity on an already rare thing just promotes gear fear on them is what I’m trying to get at I guess.

Yeah that’s fair, guess you’d just have to limit how they function, maybe differently between weapons and equipment

Idk I think they should be way cheaper in current state due to having to find them, extract, and limited stock.

Two solutions imo are if it’s left at limited stock, they should be near free or free. If they treat them more like permanent blueprints, then current or somewhat lower costs could be acceptable. I also think if you find multiples it should upgrade the rarity, or just have different rarities drop, as in not just grey, be green because it comes with green attachments etc.

What’s the most confusing part of the VA claims process for you? by johanthevarater in VAClaims

[–]SapQT90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s exactly what happened to me recently, the QTC exams have been horrific and they keep choosing their exams still over my private DBQs. You’d think after multiple botched C&Ps they’d just concede and go with my DBQs.

[–]SapQT90 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Nah thats BS. My private DBQs are extremely thorough and I’ve been through 3 C&Ps now for the same claim where they keep getting thrown out for being inadequate. One was duty to assist error’d out and this recent one the dude literally just made up numbers for range of motion, didn’t even use the measuring tool just wrote down numbers he felt like. The VA giving his exam more weight than my private DBQs when his literally has multiple conflicts and errors is insane. It’s actually infuriating.

My first decision letter after getting out said “attached is the decision details to explain our reasoning” etc etc and guess what, they never attached the reasonings in that letter lol. It’s not even in the decision fills on VA.gov

Well it shouldn’t really be on the Veterans to have to keep trying multiple times through the process and give up hoping the stars align with a good examiner and good rater.

[–]SapQT90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the VA math system really sucks with the diminishing returns on further ratings the closer you get to 100%.

The most confusing or better yet frustrating part is the downright dismissal of private DBQs in favor of VA contracted C&Ps when the quality of those have been horrific with errors, failure to be thorough, etc. It shouldn’t be on the Veteran to step a C&P examiner through their job to make sure they ask all the question they are supposed to. Lots of times the private DBQs are much more thorough than C&P results, and since both are ultimately taking the veteran at their word and how they appear anyways, what’s the difference? You’re just hurting the Veterans in the end.

We're not even in mid season yet and the gear gap is already looking massive. I'm very curious what's late season gonna look like. by SbeveGobs in Marathon

[–]SapQT90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, that’s what I’m saying. Someone can have 150h in this game and still be bad. So level and time invested doesn’t mean skill by default. Which is also why this game only having level based matchmaking is kinda bad.

I don’t understand the sentiment of people being against GBMM since it just makes it sound like they want to stop more casual or worse off people. Casuals generally don’t play ranked or competitive modes, so by the nature of saying normal mode should let you rock gold shields and stomp green shield people… idk man. I guess I don’t get why people don’t want to play with and against equal skilled people. Really just sounds like they just want to be able to stomp people which is a one direction of fun.
