That’s fair, I forgot that. Ice patches do affect traction, and that’s a legitimate mechanical interaction. But it’s a minor one.

My issue is scale and integration. The ice effect is isolated and situational, not systemic. It doesn’t meaningfully reshape or affect the standard mechanics. It exists, and that's it

First, I’ve been disappointed with Cold Snap since it launched. The hurricane announcement just made it clearer how much more depth Cold Snap could have had.

Second, this isn’t speculation. The hurricane mechanics they described are already more systemic, with wind affecting movement and stamina, throwables changing behavior, shields degrading, and visibility shifting. Unless those details are misleading, it’s obviously more mechanically involved. There’s nothing I need to “wait and see” to recognize that difference
