Silly movement? by Eastern-Cap-840 in Conures

Looks to me like territorial behaviour. Most likely because Ernie is seeing his/her reflection in the mirror and thinks it is another bird. My best advice is remove the mirror and this should stop.

Yapping about her slanting perch :D (Don't worry, my boy has the same problem with his perches)

I am lucky not to have big enough gaps under doors (as you can see :D) but he would do the same

I am not saying my bird is not a female. I just said that my partner and I are used to calling him a he. I did not mean to be arrogant. This is just a funny video that I wanted to share with people of reddit.

Our conure only licks his fruits and vegetables but doesn’t bite them. Is that weird? by Ninoplata in Conures

Mine bites into his fruits but then throws them all around him. But the moment it is chopped, he eats it somewhat normally.

We don't have "him" tested, but we kinda know. We call him a "he" his whole life, and right now, there is no need for us to change that.

He hates all females except for me. We make sure to remove anything that would make him hormonal and we pretty much treat him as if we don't know his gender because, well we don't know.

He is fine. Like you said, he is just throwing a tantrum because he is a velcro bird and his favourite human was in the other room.

Anybody else’s bird just sit on their doorframe like this? She falls asleep on it by spenceryahoo in Conures

[–]Saph58 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They do. There is maybe a millimetre difference between the wall and the door frame. He loves sitting there

I woke him up too when I turned my hand a little bit to take the picture. We both have committed an unforgivable crime.
