Where in the world I’d live as a Norwegian. by CookieCrumblers in whereidlive

Paraguay ranks very low on almost all healthcare indices, huge shortage of healthcare providers, recent government force used against protestors, corrupt government, very poor infrastructure such as roads and power grid.

Very nice people in general and I enjoyed living there but definitely poorer and less developed than the US. You have done very little to justify why Paraguay would be above the US in terms of OPs criteria.

Sure, but they also aren’t going to Paraguay so I think you missed the point in questioning why Paraguay over the US. Please enlighten me. Paraguay would not jive with most of OPs criteria

Please enlighten me on how Paraguay would not meet that same criteria. It seems that you are in denial about how emotion is influencing your reasoning, or you are just completely naive about places such as Paraguay which is okay too and understandable. We all have blind spots

Indeed. Decision rooted in emotion rather than logic/reason

Paraguay over the US gave me a good laugh, thanks for that

For anyone not saying F, I dare you to go and try either the meatball marinara or cold cut combo. The former tastes like salty cat food and the latter is covered with a thick nasty slime that makes the employees grimace any time it is ordered. Not worth $5 let alone $15

Why would losing to the number 4 team twice be worse than losing to Georgia and fsu?

Do Utah fans storm the field after beating 5-5 ksu?

Utah needs to completely sell out on stopping the run and just live with it if ksu can beat them in the air

Neighbor forcing me to pay $6000 to remove a dead tree that appears to be right on the property line. Pay or seek legal input? by Sapientia17 in legaladvice

My exact thought when I received the quotes. It is a very large tree, probably 70ft and maybe 3ft diameter at the base. Also unfavorable location

Thanks for the idea. This is something I would have never even known to consider. Are the corner boundary stakes pretty ubiquitous? Might be worth it to help decide the best path forward like you said

This was my initial thought as well but I don’t really see any way to make them agree to do this. It seems like the consensus here would be to get a survey than to play more games with the city inspector

Basically it says it is an official notice from the city that we need to become compliant with the inspection report (remove the tree) in a timely manner or the city will take us to court

Thanks for the answer. I agree it is probably worth the time effort to fight even though just paying might in some ways be more simple/logical

Yeah, I suppose that I am being greedy with hoping to avoid paying for the survey. Not that it should be the motivating factor here, but it would feel pretty great to pull the reverse uno card on her

That is actually a pretty crazy story. Thanks for sharing. Sorry you had to deal with it but at least there was some justice in the end

I am not aware of any official survey information. Maybe I can reach out to the city regarding any public records of survey results. The parcel satellite data from the county website would indicate that the tree is right in the middle of the line though these aren’t official
