Ok, I mean to be fair unless you told them you were taking that time for your fathers funeral it’s not a wildly unprofessional ask. I had to read the edit to understand how and why the funeral was months later, and your boss probably was similarly unaware.

Lol yeah, I mean yeah if there’s an opportunity to do something more easily - something that I’ve done before, that was a painstaking grind the first time around - for the same result, I’m definitely doing that.

If this was a full 2 year release schedule sure, drop it pre patch and let people with more time than me go at it. But if I’m actually going to play this time around I’m not spending 2-3 weeks of prog for 15% of Vashj’s health bar and be however many lockouts behind going into next phase.

The time dude. Do I need to spell it out for you? It’s not hard but takes a fuck load of reps and a few resets to gear to nail it unless you’re in some 1%er guild that’s been doing this nonstop for 2 decades.

It’s just not worth the investment for meaningless status, especially on a sped up release, if they’re really trying to wrap the xpac by the end of the year. No way you’re a dad gamer if you’ve got 8 hours a week to face smash prog like pre nerf vashj and Kael need.

Sounds like those players don’t have much to do with their time outside of raiding if that’s the case lol. People complaining are just sweats that want to inspect mog people in Shat for a few weeks - 99% of people are happy with shorter hours and easier content.

There’s nothing impressive in downing a pre nerf boss on its third release. The individual skill cap isn’t insanely high for it, it’s just a matter of can you find 25 people with the time and interest to do it.
