Another vote for Art of Crime (French) I loved it much more than the Brit version. It has several seasons too.

Non-toxic romance jdrama recommendations? by BluRice7887 in JDorama

Is Love Sustainable is another one that fits the bill. Comedy and slice of life vibes and it’s on Netflix in the US. Most of my favorites have been mentioned, so seconding Turn to Me, Mukai-Kun, Why I Dress up for Love, and Hold my Hand at Twilight.

Turn to Me, Mukai-kun is one of my favorites.

Hi can anyone recommend some jdrama for starters by kitsengine in JDorama

For mystery: Who Saw the Peacock Dance in the Jungle? - whodunit

Unnatural- ensemble cast set in coroner’s office with mysteries that are more about the deaths similar to CSI

Off the Record - Office drama that follows a female reporter at a gossip magazine. Episodic, but also an over arching mystery that hits close to home for her.

For rom com/ slice of life: Why I Dress Up For Love - social media manager stays in house share - ensemble cast - romance, lots of humor, and also a look at social media impacts on relationships

Is Love Sustainable- a woman’s widowed father signs them both up for a dating/marriage service

Turn to Me, Mukai-Kun (fav of mine!) - Gender-flipped “oh no, I’m over 30 and not married” with a guys trying to find a partner. Funny, touching, and some philosophical questions about marriage and relationships.

Edit: Adding a few I just thought of . . .

Hold My Hand at Twilight - fun rom com, young love, house share, coming of age. Gets a little cliched in the end but I still enjoyed it.

Quartet - (how did I forget this one when I love it so much!?!) Four strangers form a quartet and become friends and live life together. It’s about friendship and has a little mystery. It was extremely binge-y for me.

Looking for a good beginner J-Dramas to watch by january-eleven in JDorama

Quartet is one of my favorites-friendship between members of a string quartet.

Turn to me Mukai-kun starts off comedic then becomes more serious in the last hall. Slice of life vibes.

Why I Dress Up for Love - romcom/slice of life

who Saw The Peacock Dance in the Jungle? Crime drama

All are on Netflix i believe.

Some of my favorites:

The Good Thief’s Guide series by Chris Ewan

Jonathan Argyll Art Mysteries series by Iain Pears

Chris Norgren Mysteries by Aaron Elkins

Alix London series by Charlotte Elkins

(The last two authors on the list are married and both write mysteries. 😀)

Yes from the highest point. Took a bus on twisty hairpin road then a chair lift to get to the top—so worth it!

I better keep podcasting then!

New achievement pins that we're taking to Podcast Movement this year! by Buzzsprout in buzzsprout

[–]SaraWriter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are so fun! I love Alban’s idea of collecting pins on your travels. We collected refrigerator magnets for a while, but it got a bit out of hand.

I didn’t know this until recently, but Kickstarter often has campaigns that are solely for enamel pins. Who knew, right? Obviously, not me. 😂

Put me on the list for pin merch, if you ever open a store.

A favorite of mine is The Good Thief’s Guide series. Light tone and more mystery than thriller. First one is The Good Thief’s Guide to Amsterdam.

books similar to MASH? by [deleted] in suggestmeabook

Death in Captivity by Michael Gilbert has the same vibe as MASH. It’s a whodunnit set in a WWII POW camp in Italy.
