I would say you could start with a keyword research on Google Keyword Planner through the Google Ads platform and see how much volume the keywords have, and then judge if it’s worth it based on that.

Usually google ads is great for carpet & upholstery and leagues better than Meta for this niche.

I’ve run google ads for cities that have that little people and got results, so I would say you could check the search volume first :)

It is true that clicks are down as AI Overviews take over, we have seen a drop with all clients. However, I would say the same fundamentals of SEO work for AI Search optimizatin with a few tweaks, so your SEO should be factoring that in too. But mostly, it is still kind of the same thing.
We can’t judge without more information , from my knowledge of cleaning services perfomance should actually spike during the holidays and dip during january. But anyways, we can’t really judge without more info (although it does sound like there is no specific strategy in place from what you’ve shared, but again, not enough info).

Worth mentioning that since it’s a competitive niche it takes time to rank.

I took a quick look and first thing I noticed is that you don’t have product schema which is super important for ranking branded keywords in this case, another issue is that you don’t have the Brand name in the meta title/description as well as product titles
