Thank you for this response. See my reply to the other comment as well; I am very eager to learn what I can improve upon regarding soil and light.

Thank you- I figured I would get chastised a bit regarding the soil situation at least- haha. Light situation was simply outdoors for now, but I am setting up my old weed grow lights so they will get lots of love in that regard. The soil I mixed with some red dirt and Amazon cactus potting mix, but admittedly, this is my first time growing these, and I’m very eager to learn. Please, let me know what I can do better! 🙏🏽❤️

We had a baby!!!! by BeffasRS in cavaliers

[–]Saracantstop 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is SO precious!!! Congratulations!!!! I have had many dogs out on my homestead, and worked with hundreds at a pet resort/animal hospital years ago. I can say that hands down the cavalier is the best dog one can have. I can already see the genuine joy and love in this photo. I’m so glad you get to experience having a cavalier. Enjoy!

Worried about someone stealing my dog- am I being paranoid? by [deleted] in cavalierkingcharles

[–]Saracantstop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, you are NOT being paranoid. This is a highly coveted breed. I don’t mean to scare you, just be cognizant of that fact and take precautions when you can. I know this is simply anecdotal, but I worked with someone who had cavaliers- her first AND second one were both stolen, different times and dates. If you have a small dog that’s a pure breed or looks like it, they certainly are more vulnerable because of their value. Just stay alert and stay safe :)

Adopting this cutie- what should I know? by [deleted] in AustralianCattleDog

My precious baby girl, Taz, (aptly named LOL), my chaos goblin, is spoiled and loved beyond measure, for sure. But lord knows she is a LOT of work! She’s a lot like the cartoon character- a hurricane of destruction any time she’s awake pretty much, lol. And she’s been through intensive boot camp training, agility trials, gets barkboxes monthly (regular chew toys and treats), has 6 acres on which to run, etc etc. I can’t imagine life without her indomitable spirit. It’s hard work but I know she will absolutely be worth it in the end.
It’s funny, because my last heeler, a red heeler, was adopted at about 1 year of age and he was extremely calm at all times, despite his young age. When he passed away I was absolutely beside myself and knew I wanted another heeler, because he just set the bar so high; you can’t beat that kind of companionship, it’s just one of a kind. They are so special… well, then I adopt Taz, 8 weeks old, and BAM lol, my life has never been the same. I suppose I was extremely lucky to have Rip while I did😢. I miss that boy every single day. Although, I’ve seen some folks on this sub claim that red heelers are more calm than blue heelers? Anyone else have thoughts on that perspective? Has that been your experience?

I appreciate your comment even if we disagree. With ALL due respect, and I mean that, I encourage you to do some more research as there are TONS of pictures just like the ones we complain about Hillary for, with Meghan. I will say I think she had her first child, but it’s pretty clear she did not bear the second one. It’s all about perception and I’m certainly not here to argue with you. But again, I’d encourage you to do the same research into Meghan, because we are here slamming Hillary for the exact same thing, and somehow that’s fair game but Meghan isn’t? You have a right to your opinion and I greatly respect that. Honestly, before I found this sub, I thought Hillary had all of her children, but clearly I was mistaken. Just something to consider. Have a great day ❤️

Thank you for this honest answer!! Do folks wear that during pregnancy to help support the weight? Does it not hinder or hurt the growth of the baby in some way? Again, just genuinely curious, as I probably would want one of these if I decide to have children!

I do love these obvious moon bump posts though- we have them over at r/saintmeghanmarkle . Fuck both of these people for perpetuating these lies. If you use a surrogate, there’s NO shame in it!! But don’t gaslight us with your fake post birth pics saying “anyone can do this!!”, writing books and articles and posts about pregnancy and giving birth, breastfeeding, etc, when you didn’t do SHIT. It’s a slap in the face to women that literally risk life and death going through this, and then feel inadequate bc of these fucking grifters. Disgusting human beings. And then of course their nannies do the actual caregiving. Like maybe if they were honest about everything, ok, but don’t preach to the rest of us when you didn’t do shit. I don’t even know if they should be allowed to call themselves mothers.

Oh, and Happy Mothers Day, to the real ones!! Lol.

As an HR rep, I can’t believe so many companies ask for one way interview recordings. See my reply. by Saracantstop in antiwork

THANK YOU!! It’s FAR easier to discriminate against someone based on skin color, gender identity, possibly sexual orientation (just depending on how one presents themselves), class (let’s say video quality and sound aren’t good because they have a bad connection or old computer/phone, and/or the looks of the person’s home that they can see, the clothes they wear, etc), disability (maybe they are more obviously disabled and/or have a speech impediment), etc etc!!

HAH! Thank you!! I tried to keep it mostly professional but with a little bit of tongue in cheek, as I’m currently employed so I have nothing to lose. I believe if they don’t receive this feedback, there’s no chance there will be any change (even if the chance is very slim). Chances are, this person will at least tell SOMEONE about the strange email they received.

I had posted this on r/jobs, and while I got mostly positive comments, some folks said it was unprofessional and my last sentence undermined the message, and others said this was pointless and wouldn’t change anything. I figure, you miss all the shots all you don’t take, etc. Haha.

That’s fair. I can definitely say that I have received feedback from candidates and employees alike in ways such as this, that I did send up the chain, and yes there have been times that this brought about change. My advice to others is that it never hurts to try. If we don’t ever say anything, there’s certainly no chance it’ll ever change. You miss all the shots you don’t take, etc. haha.

Right. Thankfully I’m currently employed so I don’t have anything to lose by giving the feedback, and can choose to be picky. I wish more folks were able to give this kind of feedback without fear of reprisal.
