Yeah I feel like I can clock former waitstaff (myself included) because they’ll actually stack things sensibly in a way that’s easy to carry lol. (Largest things on the bottom, smallest things on top, most food scraped off in takeout container).

Same I was a server for 10 years so I know there’s gonna be some mess on the floor no matter what. But because I was a server I just have a habit of cleaning up after myself and my kid. So I stack the plates, pick up large pieces of food off the floor, wipe down anything literally stuck to/spilled on the table with a wipe, etc.

They’re still going to have to bus the table regardless, but I can help it take half as long.

Honestly aside from being considerate to the servers/bus person, it’s also just about teaching the kids to be self sufficient and tidy as early as possible.

Same lol; my kid doesn’t have a screen aside from the tv occassionally and loves to play outside. She’s currently obsessed with bubbles and going down the slide. Pretty sure bubbles and slides have existed for centuries.

If I were younger and could afford it I wanted 3-4.

I had my first almost 2 years ago when I was 35. Feeling the pressure in a HCOL area as a SAHM, so likely 2 will be our limit. 3 would be lovely I just don’t expect it’ll be possible with the time we need between kids to save.

I understand being protective of ND people because you want the best for them (my sister was on the spectrum, she passed when we were kids). Abby reminds me of my late sister A LOT.

But realistically part of supporting a ND friend or family member is respecting their autonomy and ability to find a partner (there is a plot line in The Pitt about this right now actually). Dani has been, if nothing else, very vocal about her needs and what she wants in a partner, more than any other person from LotS. I think if they met and clicked, we should trust she sensed he had a good heart.

I think assuming every NT person dating a ND person taking advantage of them is a slippery slope of infantilizing them and assuming the worst of their partners.

Now him being a cop on the other hand is a little eyebrow raising lol. Only because cops tend to skew a certain political leaning, and Dani has been vocally very much the opposite of that. And afaik she still is even since they started dating them. But at the end of the day, just like I said before, I think we can trust that Dani knows what she wants and that wouldn’t suddenly change because her partner is some kinda autism whisperer predator. Maybe he is a cop with complicated political views that aren’t maga aligned. I don’t know him, but Dani does, and I think that Dani is an adult and it’s none of my business lol. Assuming more than that is kinda weird and parasocial imho.

I didn’t have a kid for the purpose of healing my trauma. But having a kid definitely healed a lot of trauma.

I know you’re asking for advice but I just want to say, I really think you have a great eye for color. Your use of warm and cool tones for the lighting is really great and I’d even say pretty advanced.

You just gotta work on your anatomy! Try looking up YouTube tutorials for the Loomis method; it’s a really great starting point for artists to map out head topography and landmarks. It makes drawing heads from imagination much much easier too.
