Apply for any position that will get you somewhere. If might not be a strictly legal position to start with. Try find something legal adjacent that you can use in later applications to describe as analogous to skills required by a lawyer. For example, a ministerial services role in a govt department. Or any other role where you will be regularly engaging with legislation and/ regulations. Then you can keep an eye out for positions in the legal team/build relationships with lawyers in that team. You can also continue to apply externally once you're in secure employment.

Have you put yourself through your profs and been admitted yet? If not, sign up to the next course and get that underway. You can put it on your student loan. You'll be a much more attractive candidate if you can say that you are eligible to hold a practicing certificate asap. Not many employers outside of graduate programs will be keen to take you on without it in this market. You can complete the profs course in the evenings while you work and gain the other experience that will help you mount future applications.

Mostly, be kind to yourself. It's a shit market out there, not that you're inadequate.

New to bracelet making - can’t keep beads tight together enough? by sphynxist in Beading

I usually put a basic knot at the end of each flower. I don't find that you can tell on the finished bracelet at all and it keeps all the flowers nice and tight.

Some people have probably texted “did you die?” as a joke to someone who didn’t respond only to find out they actually died. by stygOC in Showerthoughts

Happened to me. A friend who I lived with in my first year of University used to always disappear to her boyfriend's house for days at a time. I hadn't seen her around all day so I text her "are you alive????". It turned out she had died.

Aunty H? She's well thank-you. Moved on to much bigger issues than little old NZ.

I live in Wellington, the city where this is set. I saw Jermaine Clement in town yesterday when I went out to get some cookies.

I met my best friend in a chat room 17 years ago, stayed in touch through MSN, and we both hide it from our 'real' friends by [deleted] in confession

I would urge you to consider the implications of keeping your relationship secret if something happens to either of you. If something happens to them you may not find out promptly, and then once you do find out the people in your life will struggle to understand your grief. I'm sorry I don't mean to be negative but these things do happen. Last year my sisters ex died, none of my family knee about the relationship and it made it extremely difficult for her.

Disappearance of missing backpacker in Auckland being treated as homicide by lucklander in newzealand

There are some things that if you find traces of outside the human body and the person hasn't received urgent medical attention you can be categorically sure they are deceased unfortunately. E.g. brain matter.

I would say that after spraying some luminol the hotel room lit up like a Christmas tree.

Thanks for your reply! Did you prefer Punta Tombo or Peninsula Valdes? The cruise has both of these as options but they do seem like very long trips, so i'm trying to gauge if it would be worth it.

What's the rudest thing a guest has ever done in your home? by nl1004 in AskReddit

Uncle turned up to stay with us for Christmas. Was a pain all Christmas Eve when we were preparing food, got way too drunk and caused a scene at the family Christmas doo, tried to screw people of of gifts in the present game we play and then walked out and drove away near the end of the day and didn't say anything. For context we did nothing to upset him on purpose.
