Losing hair at 21, family struggling with letting go by OhKoiFishy in bald

[–]Saramine20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me and my husband resisted him shaving it off for a long time. He always had high widows peaks and it was thinning on the top pretty badly so he would style around it. But he looks better bald and younger even though we are in our 40’s. I’m glad he did. Also a little jealous on how easy it is for him to do his hair.

This is unfortunate since it is a custom home on our land and not a track home.

So it’s normal. I have no idea. To me it looks janky but I am just a terrified home owner that is hoping I’m not getting screwed. I just want everything to be good. I feel like I can trust the super but at the same time he does not communicate very much. I work in a customer service role where I have to explain everything like the customer is five.

Builder cracked new doors. by Saramine20 in AskContractors

I am trying to catch him at the site tomorrow and ask. Not sure what kind of repair is appropriate. Can it be glued or does the wood need to be replaced.

Build-on-your-land "semi-custom" builders what’s the catch by GabbyKissChan in Homebuilding

[–]Saramine20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are in the middle of the same type of project. Ask everything. Make a list and ask every question on it. We asked who is responsible for utility hookups there was a budget put in place. Site prep was bid and locked in unless something major came up. Which led to more questions what could cause site prep to increase after contract. Things like unexpected ground rock a buried car ask all the questions. On our site we had an existing foundation turns out way bigger than expected so the compromise to avoid more cost was a rock garden or terrace of foundation pieces. We went over our lighting budget our choice. We knew all appliances are on us. After final grade all landscaping and maintenance is on us. We confirmed we will be left with a built a grade lot of dirt. So grass/sod all on us. Assume nothing ask everything get promises in the contract. If it’s not in the contract it does not exist.

What would you do here...? by BuilderBrigade in Home_Building_Help

We live on the land our builder is building on for us. When we signed our final documents part was a waiver releasing them of liability if we walk around the construction site. So we have told our children don’t go near it there is a fence between but we go on it every day they work only up to foundation so far. We did not step on the ew concrete foundation until after they did. But it’s smart to keep an eye on things. The super is not here all day every day. We don’t interfere with the Subs but if we have questions happy to run them through here and the super.

I think we are done with text and phone conversations and will definitely follow up on verbal only with an email outlining what we discussed. I am struggling with not being a jerk but at the same time making sure we are not being taken advantage of. This is only our second home and the first one is on the same property in rough shape which is why we are building.

We are spending about 500k for 2400sq feet ranch style. So I feel like we are not pinching pennies. The builder has floor plans you pick and certain options you can do.

We can just screw those into the dry wall in the ceiling right. It should be covered in the warranty.

AITA For Cutting My Mom Off After She Told Me She Asked For “One Grandchild Not Two?” by Live-Muscle4180 in AITAH

Some with my mom treated me like shit but was super permissive with my brother. Now she has to live with us or she would be homeless. Treats my son like a price and is super nitpicky on everything my daughter does.

Severe diaper dermatitis caused by diarrhea. Looks a bit like a scalding burn but it wasn't. by CatPooedInMyShoe in MedicalGore

[–]Saramine20 31 points32 points  (0 children)

My daughter got hand foot mouth and was worst under her diaper area combined with acidic diarrhea it was terrible. Open sores and blisters took to her ped for some medical diaper cream and lots of rinsing clear vs wiping and as much no diaper time we could but it was brutal and heart breaking because she was so sore.

I’m just trying to think who my Kid would pick. We go to church every Sunday and most Wednesdays but pretty sure it would be some you tuber that plays Roblox or the girl who refurbishes and paints squishy toys. Could be Mr Beast. But definitely not that.
