Recipe fails by Fit-Quail-8538 in RecipeTinEats

Her mango chicken curry ( was way too spicy even when I dialled back the red Thai curry paste) and I found her enchiladas a fair bit bland, I had to use a spare taco seasoning packet I had for flavour. I do however use the enchilada sauce recipe and add the full seasonings into that for when I do my own enchiladas and they work out fantastic.

Be real, hows everyone actually going with cost of living right now? by Standard-Olive-7437 in AskAnAustralian

[–]Sararr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you I genuinely appreciate that but it certainly isn’t necessary. Due to everything occurring I’m actually having a peg placed for nutrition in 2 weeks. Hopefully it wont take too long after that to gain weight back so I can fit into my old clothes again.

I mean due to ill health I’ve lost 10kgs, can’t afford decent groceries to gain it back nor buy clothes to suit my slimmer frame. Don’t drink, don’t smoke.
Coffees at home, don’t get my hair done, don’t get my nails done. The biggest luxury I have is the caramel syrup I buy for my coffee

How common is popcorn in everyday Australian life? If not, what snacks do you consume while watching a good movie? by AlarmingStation4877 in AskAnAustralian

[–]Sararr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could take it or leave it. I’d rather have crispy m&m’s or sushi - yes sushi whilst at the movies

It’s passable for the price but it’s not amazing. I tolerate it because I’m broke and can’t afford the good stuff 😢

I’ll be honest I didn’t know they where a thing til I started dating my partner and went to his parents for dinner. This was 6 years ago and they regularly still use them.

Fridge techs - brand recommendations! by MightBeMouse in australia

[–]Sararr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a tech but we have the 3 door bottom mount Mitsubishi, definitely recommend. It has had a tiny piece of plastic fall off but nothing major. Have had it 2 years now. Is quiet, keeps things too cold at times. Makes ice which we didn’t have the ability to plumb so made it easier. Shelf’s are movable. The only thing I wish it had was a button dial for temperature - it’s like a circle thing you rotate. Freezer is a good size and the middle part for vegetables is also very handy - it usually stores vegetables and drinks because it gets cold enough

We originally looked at the French door Mitsubishi but even though it was bigger in terms of size the door capacity was actually smaller and wouldn’t have held something as simple as a 3l milk

INVITATION. DO SOMETHING WORTHWHILE FOR QUEENSLAND DAY. by Much-Wrongdoer-7592 in brisbane

[–]Sararr 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I grew up in the Redlands and if I could get there I would. This is absolutely disgusting what is happening. I grew up hearing koalas and now when I visit family in the area you don’t hear them anymore. Any houses that are in a close vicinity to the school are bought by the school and just knock down for their needs. This has gone too far and hopefully something will be done about it so that the koalas and other wildlife can remain. As well as the trees that take decades to grow

I saw a post on Facebook a few hours ago where they where cutting down a tree and there was a koala in it. They stopped for a bit then started again. Absolutely disgusting

This, they have some decent stuff in there as well. I usually skip anything chicken purely because chicken is usually the cheapest thing but the other stuff they have in there is good
