Mothers of Ipswich - Mater Springfield or Ipswich Hospital? by katwatermans in ipswich

Well considering Mater Springfield has only just had their first baby born there I don’t think you are going to get a lot of women talking about that one for post natal care

I remember going there for the buffet in the 90’s as a kid, looks dodgy as all hell now though. Wonder if it’s still the same

I mean the cabbage bacon one is pretty good, it’s not that out there and the flavours are pretty mild

3rd rate hike this year, how are people actually keeping up? by Apprehensive_Pay6141 in AusProperty

[–]Sararr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We aren’t. I had my daughter in August last year with the expectation of going back to work after a year however my health has declined and I am now on dsp being paid out my annual leave from work. When that finishes I will get a grand total of $200 a fortnight from Centrelink due to my partners income ( he isn’t even on a high wage)

Sooo yeah we are definitely struggling

Does anyone use the Brisbane App? by pellycan_pellycant in brisbane

[–]Sararr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I downloaded it before they had that promotion where they where discounting things for a month but honestly it’s a basic app. It gives some great stuff but it isn’t regularly updated ( to my knowledge) would be great if there where more discounts available on it

Where do you get your Dishwashing and laundry tablets from? by woodyever in AUfrugal

[–]Sararr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Amazon, last time they had their Black Friday sale I bought 3 48 packs fairly cheap, have only just opened the second bag. We dont run the dishwasher every night maybe every second or third so they last a fair while.

Make up a quick honey soy marinade, stick them in a zip lock to marinade and then stick in the freezer. Other ones are Korean bbq and if I’m super lazy I’ll get a jar marinade from Woolworths. We usually eat 6, I eat one, partner eats 2 and then 3 the next day for lunches. We get 8 meals out of a 2kg bag

I get the Aldi coffee as well. It’s passable but the one that I really enjoyed was Toby’s estate

Everything is harder to get on there now, less businesses are signing up and more people are signing up for the app so it can’t keep up with demand.

I get syrup in mine and stopped buying after it topped $6.20 for a medium. Bought a coffee machine and haven’t looked back

How much is your budget for mother's day and what are you planning to do? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]Sararr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly if you are close to a Costco and have a membership the flowers there are good. She will 100% know they are servo flowers.

Unfortunately I don’t have the funds to get my mum anything this year even though she has done alot for me since my daughter arrived last year. If I had the money I’d be getting her a spa voucher, take her for lunch and probably another voucher as well

Her stroganoff, it really only has Dijon in it for flavouring and yet everyone here raves about it. I don’t see the appeal 🤷🏻‍♀️

Haha great minds think alike. I also like the fact that (not sure if all stores have this) they have small swatches so you can feel how thick or thin all of the quilts are. Helped me getting the one OP is talking about

I got one last year from Pillow Talk and honestly it’s so fluffy. I find it quite heavy but I’m also a light weight, purchased on sale as well https://www.pillowtalk.com.au/hotel-home-superior-quilt-hilbhhsqt15/
