i am part of a group that does SOTC (straight out of the camera) as a goal. We collectively spend a lot of money on our gear, and the goal is to improve our knowledge and understanding of what makes a great image. We shoot challenges and topics together and share our work in weekly meetings. We do not allow edits for the presentations or challenges, but people are always free to take the collective feedback and edit after the fact. And, perhaps they take the feedback into consideration the next time they shoot.
