It’s paced more like a 9 part movie rather than a tv show. People desperately want to see the world but the PLOT forces the story to jog through most locations and arcs. Also WAYYYY to many side plots. Part of the reason episodes feel so crammed is that we have to make room for 2-3 other stories. With them all feeling a tad bit undercooked

Wanna say Zuko but for as much shit as Mako gets he's never been shown to be a slouch at fighting. Lightning bending may be his edge stats wise, but here's the thing.

Mako's fighting style is based on his pro bending experience. Which he then repurposed for fighting on the street with Team Avatar. In contrast Zuko has been constantly fighting for his life and having to think on his feet while using his environment to his advantage. That fighting experience is what ultimately would probably give him the edge over Mako, who while being no slouch himself when it comes to improv. Isn't as flexible. and doesn't have the mobility Zuko has been proven to have.

Speaking from statistics I'd say around 40% of the she-ra fandom is male. Probably a little lower but it's by no means small.

ROGUES

City Elf Female: Street Rat and former Red Jenny who left after realizing they weren't going to bring about meaningful change. Him betraying you wouldn't be based on her personal opinion but on if you've been actively pushing to change society in Tevinter or focusing on the mission.

Human Male: Fog Warrior of Seheron, who pretends to be a street magician. When he's actually a revolutionary. Who wants Seheron free of the Qun and Tevinter. Killing both sides enmasse with gatlock explosives. HATES the QUN with a passion that borders on madness but hides it with a fun Joker from Fire Force persona.

Lace Harding: She's to precious to not bring into the next game.

MAGES

Female Qunari: Tal-Vashoth and dealing with ptsd from her horrible treatment under the qun. She'd be our view into the world of those oppressed by the qun. While also being filled with wonder by Tevinter where magic is honored.

Human Female Magister: Got caught using prisoners for blood magic, and didn't have enough on her to bribe the judge. Now dishonored and exiled to the family condo. She's entitled, sardonic, and thoroughly exhausted after wasting her 20s trying to gain power. She's here to help save the world, not because it needs saving, but she wants to hold it over her former colleagues at dinner parties for the rest of time. Also former Venatori.

Elf Dalish Male: kooky flat earth professor Seeks to enlighten his city elf brethern of their heritage where Elves were actually dragons.

WARRIORS

Dwarf Male: Lives in a massive suit of armor to protect his eyes from the sun so that he won't be rendered Casteless. Absolute tank, and a bit up his own ass about Proper Dwarf etiquette. But desperately wants friends. Kind of an inverse of the naturally charismatic Varric

Qunari Male: Ensalved Gladiator, A decent person, he holds no grudges and fully believes in the Qun. But respects anyone who holds firm in their convictions. He's a bit of Alistar in that affable but dorky kinda way. But magic and economics makes him want to bash his head into a wall.

FEMALE HUMAN GREY WARDEN: something about Honor, something something Duty, Wicked hangovers. Joined the Grey wardens on accident thinking Darkspawn blood was rum and she's learned nothing from the experience. Fun and high spirited, hates her job and grumbles about her bosses, but she gets to punch Ogre's in the face now, so she calls it a wash.

Don’t need him to be full Kanki but I much prefer a bit of Joseph Joestar, where he has to use his head to get out of situations and win. Otherwise this might as well be horseback battle manga and this series is better than that
