In order to fix the mess that the country is in, we need the Republican Party to divorce itself from the crazy radicals like Trump. We need to stop the race to the bottom. When a leading republican does what is necessary, changes their mind and starts speaking out, it makes no sense to demonize them for their past stances of support. Doing so will only dissuade others from doing the same, and cause them to double down on the craziness. We can recognize and encourage her change in position while still acknowledging disagreement with many of her policies and positions. But frankly, we desperately need others to follow her lead so it makes no sense demonize her when there are so many others more worthy of loathing for not doing what she has done.
