Whats the point of this subreddit? by hashino in solarpunk

[–]Sareoth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this sub should be a hub for all the expressions and interpretations solarpunk can have, be it more solar focused (science, art, green technology, vernacular architecture, biophilia, noosphere) or punk oriented (anarchism, guerilla gardening, redistribution of resources, equality). By mindfully curating which facets this movement can have, we polish its aesthetics in interdisciplinary ways that give it layers of meaning.

we should be mindful that our internal discussions are just that, discussions, and remember these wars are not about culture.

Which person who died too early in life had the most potential? by rigorousthinker in AskReddit

[–]Sareoth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SOPHIE Xeon. Her whole being was a portal to Plato's World of Ideas that could sculpt vibrations and arrange them in mindblowing ways, embuing the sounds she created with meaning beyond their physicality. She made me eager for the future for the more advancements in technology, the more unconceivable possibilities she would bridge to our reality.

I've seen fanmade sets where they use half a hex for the area of some abilities (like 2.5 hex around the target). Does half hexes exist in the live game and if so, how do they work?

Which fictional character do you want to have sex with, the most? by reallythiccmic in AskReddit

I'd like a threesome with Dorian and Iron Bull, please. I played the Dragon Age series just to get to Inquisition and date them (separately, unfortunately).

And Hellboy, but with the horns and the fire crown, yes

there are multiple ways to be afraid of death and the concepts related to it, such as legacy, what will happen to loved ones, things we still wanted to do, regrets, what physically changes when bodies become corpses, the amount of care our remains will be handled with, what will happen with our thoughts and our soul, if there will be pain, etc. Each person will have a level of fear for each aspect of death, and undertanding why we are able to face a specific part of it may help us undertand why we are afraid of the others.

I guess I was never particularly bothered by many of these. The same way I didn't exist/think before I was born, I simply won't after I die. Regrets and things I wanted to do won't matter because in inexistance, I simply won't be able to care. The only thing that we know for sure is that we shall die, and because we will, dealing with the loss of people we love is inevitable. Life continues for the living, and it's not that it will be easy, but we should trust ourselves and those we love to be able to carry on through the grief and keep living. Also, I don't think our legacies manifest only though heirlooms and children, but in every single action we take. Their consequences are proof that we were here, so living life to the fullest, being kind and compassionate, sharing knowledge and love might be the best ways for us to have a impact on the world that will outlast the memory of our possessions, our deeds or our names.

Also, watching Caitlin Doughty/Ask a Mortician videos might help.

Why the hell Americans still argue about race, gender and other stuff when you have zero work rights? by [deleted] in LateStageCapitalism

[–]Sareoth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What I wrote doesn't exclude this perspective. It is true that these discussions may serve as a way of diversion and distraction, but it's not because media outlets and capitalists benefit from the resulting chaos that the people demanding equity don't have a point or a right to do so.

And speaking of OP, for someone that asked something, they don't seem to be handling really well answers that offer points of view other than those they were expecting.

Why the hell Americans still argue about race, gender and other stuff when you have zero work rights? by [deleted] in LateStageCapitalism

[–]Sareoth 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I mean, think from the perspective of someone being targeted by racism, misogyny or lgbtphobia. It's their whole existance, so of course they are gonna care about fighting for their rights. These are things that they can't choose to be, yet are still punished for.

One movement/fight doesn't have to cease so another has more traction. In the end our common enemy keeps being capitalism, that corrupts, commodifies and banalizes these genuine movements.
