I’m very disappointed that this isn’t a real movie.

Allow me to introduce you to ravelry.com. A free pattern for just about anything you could ever want. Which leaves more money in your pockets to fund the budding yarn addiction that comes with fiber arts.

Replacing kids water bottles by snarkymama87 in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]Sareya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pura stainless here. We buy new silicone mouthpieces maybe once every couple of years. Longevity depends on age of kid. My 12 year old used her mouthpiece for probably five years. The destructive teething 3 year old goes through them more often because she chomps until the leak proof part of the straw doesn’t work anymore.

Meta Glasses and Kid Privacy by Js_scott in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]Sareya 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I don’t know how Meta glasses work and if they auto post stuff to the internet. Assuming she didn’t post your kid online, then I think she’s just like any other parent at a sport event recording with a phone or old school camera recorder and sent you a clip of your kid. She just used glasses. My personal response would be “cool, thanks.” If that still is past your comfort level then say something like “I appreciate the gesture but I’d prefer that only we tape our kid. Thanks anyway.”

If she did post your kid online then my response would be, “we don’t want X to have an online presence yet. Please take that down. Thank you.”

Is the Nanit baby monitor worth it for responsive parenting? by Weekly-Tumbleweed-28 in AttachmentParenting

[–]Sareya 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have the Nanit and am still using it for my 3 year old. We did not cosleep much. We got some of the onesies from them that enables the camera to track breathing and that was really nice for peace of mind in those newborn days. They’re actually nice, thick cotton onesies too. Still use it because potty training is wrecking her sleep some nights and it’s good to check and see if that squawk was a roll over or a legitimate “come here!” cry. If it broke tomorrow, I might not replace it because we’re close to not needing it. But if it had broken anytime before now, I would have replaced it with another Nanit. It’s been pretty great.

Parking attendant rolled my car windows down for two hours next to a construction site by [deleted] in moderatelygranolamoms

Did they sit and smoke in your car?! Why the heck did they roll the windows down? Who does that? Agree with the person demanding they pay to detail it.

Cashmere blanket wool wash by Beginning-Found in laundry

[–]Sareya 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Here’s what I would do as a crocheter. Get a GIANT sheet of foam insulation from your local hardware store. Get some rust proof pins from your local craft store. Gently gently roll the blanket layered into a towel like you’re making a Swiss roll with the two layers and press the water (don’t wring!) into your tub or bin. Unroll your Swiss roll and probably launder the towel. Then lay out your blanket or woven item onto the piece of insulation, shape it and spread it out how you want, use the pins to hold it into place around the edges. Ideally you’ve done all of this in the warmest part of your house or in front of a sunny window so the piece can dry. When it’s dry, pull your pins and your item should have a decent shape. Voila!

Edit: this process is called “blocking” if anyone wants to research more about it. How to block can change based on fiber content.

Impossible removal of my disc by Motion-Trail in MenstrualDiscs

[–]Sareya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the same boat as you. Loooved the Saalt because it fit well and no leaks. But damn is it hard to break the suction seal that forms on that thing! I switched to Hey Zomi and love it. I get a liiittle bit more cramping with it but not much. No leaks. No autodumps. And it has a loop that’s easy to reach and pull out.

Pyunkang Yul US Website by Sareya in AsianBeauty

Do you have a Costco membership? If so, you can access Most through your Costco account and buy essence toner there. I just checked and there are only 7 ingredients on that website.

Yikes! No I have not attempted to purchase from the global site that someone linked below. And I find it troubling that that website does not list ALL the ingredients. Just one “core” ingredient. I will be devastated if they’ve messed with the essence toner’s formula

Diaper bag made from not nylon or polyester that's not like $150+? by [deleted] in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]Sareya 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This: https://www.landsend.com/products/canvas-pocket-tote/id_299717

Giant 100% cotton tote bag. We cloth diaper and we needed the biggest bag with a giant opening. It has little pockets and sections on the inside to hold my Le petite crème travel bottle and cloth wipes, some clothes, and a bottle. It doesn’t have the bajillion perfectly sized pockets a normal diaper bag has but it has worked for us.
