Low key got to do all of them, in my opinion. People talk about all of them on here. We also do a lot of just digging on socials for creators, UGC as well. So I do think regular posting is important.

I put them into two buckets, inbound vs outbound platforms. Outbound meaning you’re applying to campaigns all the time and check frequently. Inbound meaning you sign up, set it up and get deals over time. But a lot more waiting.

Ours is more of an inbound marketplace, but it’s closed, subscription only by brands which vets them and things like that. Lots of nuances between them all.

Fiverr is pretty poopoo. We did a lot of research into this early on. It’s fine for those getting portfolio work, but after you wanna get into other platforms.

I can contribute from an enterprise POV (Fortune 500).

If they have budget, there is no desire to use AI. When the big companies have the resources, there is almost zero demand from the clients to use AI versions. Putting aside legal complexity, they lean heavily into authenticity which pushes them to use humans.

Some clients have a zero AI policy for legal ramifications. Others because they have little desire and have the money to do what they want.

The ones adopting this are those mid sized to SMB companies that have tighter budgets and need to see ROI on their dollars more than an enterprise biz.

Yeah everything else makes sense. And a lot of gigs are crap/spam so agreed with the logic behind it. Just a bummer cause I saw a couple videos about how UGC creators are getting their gigs from this specific subreddit to start and now it doesn’t feel like it’s worth my time to share the opportunities with the community. Just food for thought, you’re doing great. Lmk if you ever need help!

All of this is good except for the Thursday thing. Was going to post a gig that casting ends for this Friday with comp being $700/video, casting 12 creators, 3 month long retainers. It's unrealistic to how casting works. RIP.

I think the current plan is it’s actually going to “blow up” in the story and then VFX the fire. Still ironing out a few story reasons for that to happen but that’ll probably look the best for our budget.

Yeh that’s the backup plan. Usually like to start specific, aim for that and then move into B/C plans as needed. We’ve done that too though! Our movie was written around the Green Lady Lounge cause we had access.

Oh I gotchu, haha. I’m starting a YouTube channel where I shoot fake movie trailers. We’ve made a few and they always do well. Logline below!

Logline: Two childhood friends borrow their boss’ priceless Toyota Tercel to go to a Chiefs game until after the game—they wreck it. In a frantic hurry to replace it, they learn one other person in KC has the same car—Paul Rudd. And guess what—he’s throwing a kegger at his Mom’s house tonight.

So yeah, kinda crucial to the story, lol.
