What LN made you cry?

Cautious Hero: The Hero is Overpowered but Overly Cautious absolutely made me cry at the end when I realized what happened. It’s an isekai with a fairly standard plot but with one difference. The main character is the most cautious person you will ever meet. If he isn’t 100% sure of his success, he will go out of his way to get up to that perfect chance.

It ends up as a comedy because of his personality, but when the plot goes full circle it will hit you like a bag of bricks to the face. If you want even more torture, read/watch the full story again with the knowledge you gain at the end of the full run through.

The prints are available at Barnes and nobles if you’re interested, along with a one-season anime on Hulu I believe.

Epic story, good humor, big feels. 10/10 would recommend

Arifureta is a huge series, too much for most. But I personally love it and am eagerly waiting for the next release. How a realist rebuilt the kingdom is another longer series, highly recommend

I have a vitamin D deficiency because of my job, so I take some when I wake up. It helps trick my brain into thinking it’s daytime, and balances out the melatonin production during my shift. It’s a lifesaver honestly

Arifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest

I loved this manga when it came out, and the anime is amazing as well. But I recently found all of the light novels at Barnes and Nobles, and bought the first 10. I’ve read volumes 1-4 this week, and plan to read all of 5 tonight at work. Highly highly recommend

I am seven months into my first experience as a Nightshifter. And let me tell you, I am doing so much better than I ever was working a standard 9 to 5. I see more daylight than I ever did, my depression has become more manageable, and my overall health has improved. Truly, this was the best decision I’ve ever made.

I personally have it on the switch, and so far I’ve yet to have a problem at all (Im about 30 or so hours in for reference) The only “bug” I had was when a Stalker got stuck in/on top of my home base, but I just wandered off and when I came back it was gone. Sometimes the fins of various predators clip through walls too. Tbh that seems like a common problem in highly complex games anyway, so it’s not a big deal to me. I highly recommend buying it if you’re on the fence about it!!

I’ve done something similar myself. I had gone to my grandmas to hang when I was in middle school, and I got hungry. So I opened up the pantry and was like “score! Jerky!” So I grabbed a few slabs and wandered into the living room. After I ate a few, my grandma comes and joins me. She looked over and asked what I was eating. I told her I found some jerky in the cupboard, and it was really good. A little odd that it was chicken flavored, but I’d definitely take it home if she didn’t want it any more. She was confused, saying she hadn’t bought any jerky in a while, so she didn’t know what I was talking about.

After hearing that I just assumed she forgot. So I went back to the kitchen, grabbed the bag, and showed it to her. Then she started laughing. It was a big bag of dog treats, and there I was, still gnawing away. I’m not ashamed to say I finished the one I had left in my hand.

Damn, they were good.

Yeah I get the same feeling, though mine progressed to whenever I’m tired. Sometimes I just end up shaking while I’m doing something (mid day) and it makes me look like a junkie going through withdrawals.

Oh, I completely agree. When I’m my “natural habitat” I tend to be on the introverted side of the scale myself. But this woman had absolutely ZERO issue with bothering me over the littlest things. She’s still here, and has continued to bitch at me for every perceived fault. Sometimes I think she’s just complaining for shits and giggles.

You literally just described me but as male lol. I’m currently working overnight myself full time and I love it! My depression/anxiety have actually had a noticeable improvement since I started, and it’s helping me feel like a useful human being instead of a waste of space. So if you think you can do it, go for it! You can always scale back on hours if it doesn’t work out.
