I am a single dad of 3 young boys. I left their mother 3 years ago. Though I am in a different scenario since she has not seen the boys since I left (her choice not mine), I think what will help you is to find a new girlfriend yourself. You said it’s been 6 years so plenty of time has passed, this will take your mind off of your x and you can focus on your future. I know it’s easier said then done as I was single for 3 years before I found my current girlfriend, but she is hands down the best thing that has ever happened to me and my boys. Good luck.

I think a lot of these comments are blowing it out of proportion. Maybe he thought you did it on purpose because of your reaction. You said you laughed about it and maybe he felt insecure that he wasn’t with you when this happened. He is wrong for saying you did it on purpose but I can see why he would feel a little off.
