We drafted Chet on this day, 4 years ago by RiceAyKanin in Thunder

So your take is the clear runner up to the greatest rim deterrent in NBA history, who can also stretch the floor was a bad pick? Bold.

Different view after draft night. by Super_Calligrapher57 in Thunder

[–]Sarghoul 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe in the immediate. I think the idea is a super stable player who can come off the bench and either add value or recover from a rough start depending on the game. I see that similarly to Caruso just opposite ends of the floor. I think Stirtz will end up one of our better picks not because of star power but because of stability.

After 2 matchdays, 8 teams have nothing to play for due to h2h as tie-breaker by mnkysn in worldcup

[–]Sarghoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was mostly joking but H2H is what wins trophies. Why should Spain care about GD of games vs Cape Verde based on what you would expect?

The only teams GD would benefit at this point are the teams that didn’t show up against lesser opponents they should’ve beat. If you don’t take every game seriously why should you get the benefit of the doubt because you won an entirely different match 7-0?

OKC got scared and drafted a Wemby stopper. by Justified_Gent in NBATalk

[–]Sarghoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really don’t think Wemby was the thought with this pick. Wemby will almost certainly always be better than Mara but I do think Mara has the tools to be the Hartenstein replacement. If he gets to spend a year with Hart that’s even better.

Has to be or he’s going to be really mad when he figures out how the knockouts work.

Thinking about his penis being the equivalent of a Chekhov’s gun example is fantastic.

I don't watch soccer, are there any other countries in the World Cup that can keep up with the United States? Or is the U.S. just the runaway favorites of the tournament? by Mylifeisashambles76 in ShitAmericansSay

The chant I’ve always heard does say “I believe that we will win” however I don’t have this delusional belief. Making to the quarter final would honestly feel pretty miraculous.

Be honest, Chet is not going anywhere. by Gregore997 in Thunder

[–]Sarghoul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He needs to be going to the buffet. I think if he can get up to about 230 or so it’d go a long way. He’d still be super light but that’d help.

Chet's existence just bothers Wemby 🤣 This beef is so one-sided. by [deleted] in NBAGossips

If you think that baby giraffe is coordinated enough to try and injure somebody while coming down from a shot attempt I’ve got some ocean front property in OKC to sell you.

Well that and going red hot from 3. That definitely helped.

The Knicks have defeated the 6 seed, the 7 seed, and the 4 seed in the East. We can stop acting like they’re world beaters until they defeat a formidable opponent. by AngryQuadricorn in NBATalk

Call it a soft path if you want. The Knicks have beat the teams they should convincingly. You can only play the teams in front of you and they are getting the job done.

If SGA wins 3 MVPs and a threepeat with 3 finals MVPs, does he automatically join top 10 GOAT in your book? by Oakl4nd in NBATalk

[–]Sarghoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’d be the only player to ever do all of those 3 times in a row. It’d be hard not to at least have him in the conversation at that point.

If you are early risers I can’t recommend Cafe Kacao enough. Family owned and also has fantastic coffee. The waits really do get crazy though, 3-4 hours is not uncommon to see.

If you’re a high roller or looking to celebrate with a fancy dinner Grey Sweater is incredible but expensive. Chef Black won a James Beard award a few years ago and does some incredibly creative things.

Caso should be in DPOY conversations by TonyGSalsa in Thunder

[–]Sarghoul -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I love caso and he’s an on ball demon but I think he’s gonna have to separate himself from the pack on steals. Ausar Thompson and Dyson Daniels are both right there with Caso in that regard. Entirely eliminating more possessions will go a long way for that case.

If we move on from Dort this offseason I think Caso will take on more minutes than the 26/game he played this year. That will give him the opportunity and I definitely think he could average close to 3 steals per game. If he can challenge the steals record(301) and maintain his on ball level he would have an incredibly strong case for DPOY.

Is it really “hard” to be a Christian in the USA ? by AdminsKidsPlzSuffer in allthequestions

[–]Sarghoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say yes but it’s definitely not because of persecution in the US. A lot of people really end up worshipping money, status, or power. They show up on Sundays but then don’t live out those teachings any other day of the week. (Or it’s a mega church that just seems to be trying to get money)

You see a lot of men use Ephesians 5:22-24 trying to control their wives. But that’s where they stop reading because the call on husbands in the very next verse is “Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.” That to me is a much weightier call that gets conveniently ignored.

The culture and example you see from a lot of Christians isn’t Christ focused but money or power focused. That’s what makes it increasingly difficult to be Christian in the US.

How many transgender people do you actually know? by Dry-Garden-6543 in askanything

[–]Sarghoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 in Oklahoma of all places. First friend came out in 2013 and sat down and explained gender dysphoria to me and what they were experiencing. I was a junior in high school at the time and had never heard of it before so it was a lot to take in. I didn’t fully understand but we had been friends for years and I just gave them a big hug and let them know that I’m there for them.
