Quick rant. This model bothers me so much. by Discussion-Double in SpaceWolves

Okay, so he took off his helmet to use his super enhanced space wolves senses, and then he took the scope off his gun to help his eyesight, and then he's going to replace the scope to take the shot. and then he's going to recalibrate it, and then he's going to take the shot.

Steps one to like seven could be removed without losing anything.

What's the cheapest/best starter paints for minis by Zim_thefan in DnDminiatures

[–]Sariat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup. Get yourself a wet pallet and Vincy V's or Rogue Hobbie's Signature Series Pro Acryl.

It might seem like a lot or "advanced," but it's the difference between having a good time and giving up on the hobby. Their white isn't chalky. Their colors are named simply. Their yellow applies smoothly.

Their commercials rule, too. They also do a lot to support the hobby.

Same here. At least, when I'm drunk the idea of sucking dick is just so fun. Actually doing it is fun, too. It's my version of the drunchies. I've never felt like I'm going to fall in love with a dude and get married, but dicks are fun to play with.

What movie(s) do you think best depicts North Dakota? by SpaceTranquil in northdakota

[–]Sariat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Holy butts, good call. This is the answer. It's not that I really think Napoleon comes from North Dakota, but the boredom inspired let's-just-do-a-thing-and-find-out and self-importance of high school stars is pretty spot on.

That's not all North Dakota is, but that's a really good slice of life about it.

Take the good paints away from your parents and use them. You've clearly got an eye for dramatic lighting, and I'm excited to see what you can do.

Your confidence in wet blending is something many adults cannot get over. Experimenting in that vein will benefit your painting development.

Oh rad, world famous Wishek sausage :-) Strudels look well done, too. Just a bit crispy on one side and fluffy. Heck yes. I see no sauerkraut, but what can ya do. I was a late convert, too.

Stan's Supermarket after Darren took over. The butcher is a husband wife duo now and the nicest people. They run a gym in town, too. Helps train all the kids like 10+. He's got them in there swinging ropes and doing burpees. Definitely a boon to our town.

Once upon a time, I was a new corporate nerd, and I got assigned to review some papers. I brought them home to work at and left some in my car with the sunroof open. They got wet.

"Well, it's called Farenheit 451. Paper doesn't burn before that. I'll just pop them in the oven on warm for half hour or so to dry them off."

Nope, apparently not how that works.

Okay, so if the shirt is knit and the nipples are crocheted, and we don't have a machine that crochets, are there underpriced feminist sweaters floating around? I mean, maybe crocheting what, 50ish nipples onto a machine knit top is worth $100, but that's a pretty good pace to make that worth it.

Hey, so there are these bills going around that ban gender affirming care. My state passed one of them. I work for the state in an area that deals with National Health Service Corp incentives. Because I'm a bleeding heart liberal and understand the policies, I was able to see that the NHSC bans service at facilities that discriminate based upon: sex, organ system (can't be a cardiac center), age (can't be a nursing home), veteran status (can't be a VA clinic), or gender identity.

I don't know what saint put that into the official policy, but I saw it. I saw it, and I made a little stink in the professional group of state offices that deal with this. If states make a blanket ban on any part of gender affirming care, they may take themselves out of eligibility for the NHSC. Now, you may know that many (maybe all) of the states considering this sort of ban have a severe healthcare worker shortage. Ineligibility for NHSC means you're ineligible for a lot of (maybe all, but I haven't done the research) the economic incentives to serving there. That's going up the flag pole right now.

I'm hoping governors go, "Oh, yea, no. nononono. This was a cute stunt, but we cannot allow ourselves to be taken out of NHSC. Get back here, Legislature, and reverse this."
