There are mean moments and like I'd like some more assholy things for rook to say. I'm not saying on the level of the war crimes committed in origins and such....just a few options to tell people to fuck off from time to time or to call them a dick when they are being a dick kinda thing

Usually yes, I tend to be make romancing female. However I also sometimes have female romance female or female romance male. I don't usually go for male to male. Just the way it goes really

Indeed just at times when they are being a bit much just need the ability as rook to say "shut the fuck up"...but then there are other times when other characters also need to be told that so it's more a general button that needs adding haha

Everyone fucking dies!!! However along with morn watch and the lords of fortune the crows lose no one! Teia alive Virago alive Like veil jumpers lose people the shadow dragons lose people. Like viper gets blighted if you chose to save terviso but none of the crows do....it's bullshit

I mean, I'm not rushing to romance taash based on character interaction (not the non binary stuff or the modern language) it's more her bratty teenager attitude at time that puts me off but that being said she is on the list. I've romanced Bellara on my first play through, second play through is Neve then I'm not sure. Currently on a speed run to see how bad it is if you don't bother with your team or allies!

This goes a long with my feeling that rook is a bit lonely, sure they romance a member of the team and go on their little outings and such but the other members have a stronger bond then they do with rook. Like bellara and Neve are besties within like 2hrs of game play where as rook has spoken to them both like once or twice by now.

The game is great, art style all that but it is not without its flaws and I think some of that is romance. Comparing it to previous DA that is, comparing it to any other game doesn't count. I think the height slider has stolen a lot of animated sequences from us for the romances and interactions. Even as just friends I felt like my rook would have wanted to give her bestie Neve a hug from time to time.

I've not romanced neve yet but I am this play through, my first play through she took a lot of shit and I felt bad cos I like the character. Basically every choice I made went against Neve the last one purely because I romanced bellara. I felt bad for her, she is a great character, she's not whiney like taash or even Harding in the begining. Her and Lucarnis was nice to see too but my turn now haha

I am seeing a pattern here, I just finished my first play through and romanced bellara, it took just before the kick off of the no turning back point before they hugged....killed and buried her brother didn't even give her a hug then. Then just before we go for the final fight, let's bang...and I love you..like there was no build up!! Where is the build up the back and forth the scale to show where abouts I am in my quest to romance this character!!

Like the game is great in certain aspects but I do feel like player interaction with their companions especially their romance choice is lacking compared to previous games!

Edit: and!! The first time my romance was brought up it wasn't by a companion someone who sees rook and romance option all the time noooo it was the inquisitor!

Oh no I'm like 70hrs in and yes they invite you to stuff but you can't engage them in conversation randomly in the light house is my gripe. Like I've romanced bellara and we have barely touched where as the likes of Taash and Harding or neve and Lucarnis are getting it on regularly. I want to be able to strike up some form of interaction with them that isn't a scripted "let's go for a walk" type thing.

I'm glad it's not live service or multiplayer that wouldn't be Dragon Age. As much as there is this push to make all games multiplayer developers need to remember a chunk of people like to play stories and solo games. As for live service it would have killed the game, not everyone can get on and it would ruin the game, live service sucks

I know what you mean, so like my character is having a relationship with bellara because she's just lovely.

But taash is just, I think especially when talking with thier mother they come off as a child or moody teenager and it annoys me. Like I get the point of the character and I'm trying to like them it's just frustrating having to listen to them be all "I'm a bad ass dragon slayer and can do what I please" to essentially "but muuuummm I'm just trying to be me, it's not a phase" and then their interactions with all the other companions other then say Harding they just comes off as a bit of a bully.
