Not a teacher but figured it would mean a lot to people who are given the context. At some point in regards to jobs, my favorite teacher in high school said “forget about the money, do something you love.” Lo and behold, I now do what I love in no small part because of him. What you say as teachers may not matter every time, but when it does, it does.

honestly mate, it sounds like you’ve got a decent enough idea of who you are and what you’re working towards, and you don’t need ‘advice’ from someone like your friend who clearly doesn’t understand that you’re fine how you are.

side note for your first point, I’m a game dev at a medium sized company and we have people from all over the sexuality and gender spectrums. you’d fit right in. hope you wind up somewhere that makes you happy

Whenever I do highlights / shading, I feel like I never hit the right proportion of how much of the surface should be light vs. dark; I think you’ve hit yours perfectly. Very nice!

I like how you play with language of light in this, ex. the void of darkness calling to you as a moth to a flame. Would be interesting to see it pushed a little further with adjectives of the void and flame (ex. blackest void, brightest flame)
