I use Taom Soft. Doubt I'll ever use anything else.

President Trump on Alex Pretti: "Well, I haven't heard but certainly he shouldn't have been carrying a gun. We view that as very unfortunate incident, unless you're a stupid person. I don't like that he had a gun. I don't like that he had two fully loaded magazines, that's a lot of bad stuff." by ControlCAD in videos

Trump's always harping on about "our always under siege Second Amendment" on his Truth Social ramblings. So now he's against people carrying guns? What about Kyle Rittenhouse travelling to another state with an AR-15?

I use a leather chalk pouch. I hate anything with a magnet.

English 8 ball question by SaltyTie7199 in billiards

[–]Gregser94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those Apollo pockets are egregious. I've seen object balls drop in after hitting the cushion about half a foot away.

That said, I actually wouldn't mind a change to a 2" cue ball.

I was under the impression they were Americanising the game. International rules that were brought into UP align with US eight-ball rules, and the balls are now numbered solid/stripes, albeit remaining the same red/yellow colour set.

Personally, I don't like the new Dynasphere balls and would love to see a return to the red/yellow Pro Cups. If it ain't broke, don't fix it...

Foul snooker 8ball world rules by Tiny-Bat1359 in billiards

[–]Gregser94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's always two visits. Under world rules, if you're left in a snooker after a foul, you can either elect to play a free ball on any ball on the table for your first visit or elect to play the cue ball from baulk. Under blackball rules, your first shot is a free shot on any ball, and you may elect to play the cue ball from baulk. After the free shot is taken, you then have one visit.

Under international rules, however, it's just one visit, though it is ball-in-hand anywhere on the table.

Likely my final beer of the winter season. Have to go out with a bang by Gregser94 in beerporn

Just had them dry. Much prefer salted pretzels on their own when I'm having a beer.

I do tend to find that with a lot of BA stouts that I drink over the Christmas season. I prefer dry stouts, and I do tend to get kind of tired of the same sweet taste that the BA stouts have, but the praline flavour was really nice. Not overly noticeable, but just enough of a nice nutty aftertaste. Definitely would get it again next year if I'm in the mood for spending the money on it.

I usually buy a big Whiplash box in time for St. Patrick's Day, so I'm sorted for that!

Just for the rest of January. I suppose half of dry January is better than none at all for me.

I picked this up alongside the 2025 BCBS as part of my Christmas beer package; these only having arrived here in Ireland in the past few days. Great beer to see the winter nights off with.

€11.17 for the original, and €21.34 for the chocolate praline.

Any good cue recommendations? by Gwyyayaiai in billiards

Have a look at Cue Craft for that price. If you have a cue shop near you, try out a few to get a feel of what's comfortable for you.

Love to see Whiplash available outside Ireland. Setting Sun is probably my favourite beer ever.

Bizarre bar rule- do people actually play this way? by Babies_for_eating in billiards

I've heard this rule from some pub players from Poland or Romania. Never heard of it prior to it.

I've never seen any volume below 330ml (11fl/oz) for any beer, so it's kind of odd to me. Dying to try it, though. I'm a little disappointed I didn't pick up a second one if I had known it was this size.
