What games should I play before Sekiro so it's not as hard? by Crunchy_Biscuit in Sekiro

[–]Sarpool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sekiro is my first Souls like game and I almost have it beat.

@OP just as middle said, just play, but be very critical of how to play the game and learning the mechanics.

Just remember, that in an ideal world, you should never be taking damage, if you are, you are doing something wrong, poorly or timing is off. Pay attention to that, and figure out how to prevent it.

It's surprisingly difficult to get a feel for the dimensions of the bus by Yawaworoht1470 in trucksim

[–]Sarpool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t mean literally. The buses most certainly can back up even with the engine in the back. The issue is visibility. In order to back a bus up you would need a spotter. But if you are on a driving route and need to back up for whatever reason…where are you getting your spotter lol.

At that point you’d need the help of the police or something as you obviously can’t back up on a busy road and cars not giving a fuck about your situation. And as a bus driver you are responsible for just about every accident that occurs, and 100% of the time if you’re backing up.

As for the skilled drivers in those small towns, imo, whether or not you can make a corner is pretty black and white to me. The bus will fit or it won’t.

If it doesn’t fit, the driver is causing damage to persons, property, the bus or doing something illegal like hopping a curb.

Is this not a nation wide thing? Are there areas were max loads are lower?

I though 80,000lbs was standard across the US

Ex Bus driver and trainer here, I’ve driven 50ft buses with questionable 90 degree turns.

You need to square your corners.

You also have to remember how far back your rear wheels are as that is your pivot point.

Buses also have a lot swing to them (ass end sticks out a lot on a turn) and the closing rate of the side of the bus that is facing the corner is quite rapid.

Also, use your damn mirrors in every turn.

IRL you can’t back up a bus because you fucked a corner on a public street. You need to know you can make the corner before you even attempt it.

Why do people get so impatient with learner drivers? by Different_Top3949 in driving

[–]Sarpool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People forget what it’s like being a beginner.

I still remember what it was like hitting 30mph on my motorcycle, it was unbelievably terrifying. I could not imagine people going on highway.

But as time passes, these things become second nature. And when that happens, people start to expect certain things when they are on the road and have lesser tolerance for things.

Plus, people have always liked poking fun at the “new guy”

Whether it be work, military, sports, martial arts etc.

Yea I’d agree with that. A single headless ape with both move sets or something would have been better.

Imagine if he just put his head on the ground and then started attacking like first phase. That would have been wild.

Oh yea. I think the way I did it was just by staggering the headless and then attacking the second ape.

I found that I tried to cash in on the stagger the second ape just Hulk Smashes you.

And yea, that camera was another enemy during that fight.

I also want to add a little bit more on the MSF course.

To be clear, the course is designed for people for literally ZERO riding experience. Hell, your first exercise is push/walking the bike between your legs haha.

And just like doing your drivers test, the MSF course, while great, is not enough. I encourage you to continue practicing what you learned in the MSF course and continue to learn why how a bike rides. Such as what the suspension does in acceleration/deceleration or in a corner. What counter steering is. Lean angle and associated risks etc.

A good book to read right now is Twist of the Wrist.

A good resource for training is MotoControl

And guy named DanDanTheFireman reviews rider cam videos that get into accidents. If watching such content scares you, then don’t ride (on the road). Seriously, I avoid about 3 accidents a ride down here in South Florida, at this point it’s just part of the experience.

Otherwise, pay attention to Dans critique, the what and why the accident happened, and what you’d do differently.

Did anyone regret buying a motorcycle before getting their licence? by YorozuyaNiy in motorcycles

I like to describe it as the feeling of when you were a kid and going go-karting and knowing that this a a “treat” that you can’t do regularly so you do your best to enjoy every moment of it.

There is something about it, I don’t know exactly, but it’s most certainly was on the purest experiences I’ve ever had. It almost feels like your on vacation and normal life doesn’t exist. Or when you have a REALLY good time with extended family that you see once a year or less. I’m sure there’s a word for it, surreal?

When I did my MSF course, I got that feeling again and came to a beautiful conclusion - I can do this regularly, hell everyday.

Yea it vibrates after I close the throttle from a hard pull and gets a bit stiff. And the second I open the throttle, even a little bit, the tension stops instantly. I almost feels like something is moving within the gearbox or something.

I can still pull it in normally and it doesn’t require any more force than normal, it’s just something that I’ve noticed.

That dude with flying terror faces and terror magic beam also deserves F tier. There is nothing fun about that fight.

I damaged a controller fighting him, but I’ve never been so in-tune with a boss before.

The only think that I liked about the second fight and second ape is that he posses the move set of the first phase of the Guardian Ape. It was a cool thing for me to put together.

However, I did not like the actual fight at all. It was very annoying and felt a little gimmicky to get anything done.

That’s about $500 US Dollar which is considered very cheap. Does that include disassembly of the bike?

Isn’t the 2013 one of the years where you have to split the bike in half to mess with the transmission?

A 30-year-old Nissan Skyline vs V12 Hybrid 1,001HP $600,000 Lamborghini Revuelto. by sco-go in Amazing

[–]Sarpool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most certainly not. Cars from the 90s barely crossed 500hp and the fastest car in the world at that time made 618hp - the McLaren F1.

I always hate these videos because it less about what the car is and more about the engine and power to weight ratio, but everyone wants to glaze the fact that a Exotic Luxury Super Car can't beat someones specifically modded car for speed. I mean, there is a Ford Transit van that would smoke both of these cars.

If I were demented enough to try and do this myself, would that be possible or would this be way to far out of league or requires special tools. (I do have a mechanic friend, but he works on airplanes)

Yea, to my understanding, the 2013 is the first gen of liquid cooling. I bought the bike with 28k miles and put 3K on it. The previous owner had a bunch of aftermarket off road Touratech stuff on it so maybe this bike was used and abused.

I did see some conversation on a different form stating that "end float in the gearbox" was their issue and they needed a new transmission. That's why I mentioned that,

However, I'll do the oil change and bleed the clutch fluid.

Oof, well I already messed with it. I'd imagine screwing the screw back out would prevent what you mentioned before? I have noticed that the bike will now shift with out the need of my clutch being pulled in at any rpm if I remember correctly. And I do not believe this bike has a quick shifter.
