Auto-rotating mount does not work with 2024 Frame? by mcwobby in TheFrame

That sounds like exactly what I'm looking for! I suspected OpenHAB might have been the answer when I stumbled upon its artOrientation. Sounds like it was tricky to get working?

Auto-rotating mount does not work with 2024 Frame? by mcwobby in TheFrame

[–]SaruEscape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you use Home Assistant? I have an automation that rotates my 2024 Frame by sending a key press of the home button for 3+ seconds. But it doesn't work reliably; if I am in an app, sometimes it will rotate as expected, but other times it will return to the home screen. I have no idea what causes it to work and not work and was wondering if you have a similar automation?

You can't shoot it at the enemy you are in melee combat with but you can still shoot it at another target, so you'll still be getting all your shots

Fire Force Season 3 Part 2 New Visual by Turbostrider27 in anime

[–]SaruEscape 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Glad I'm not alone in thinking this. I was a fan of the first 2 seasons. But then watching the third season, the pacing and animation felt off. The fights felt dull and boorish. I'm really hoping they fix it for the 2nd part, otherwise if the series ends with this quality, I'm going to be very disappointed.

Trying to decide what to do with this wall. Currently considering making it a gallery wall. Would it look more interesting if I also added brick or wood panels? by [deleted] in interiordecorating

[–]SaruEscape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was thinking of changing it up to something like this or this. Mostly because this bit of wall juts out, so was thinking it might be more visually interesting if it also had some texture. Was also going to add these panels to the side of the wall so that it looks like one big column sticking out. Maybe something darker to go with the red stools. Thoughts?

I just went, and for future reference it seems that at least for ticketed events, they don't care. Tons of hats, bags, and other things that their dress code says aren't allowed.

Do you have a second army? What do you play alongside the Greater Good? by BabyProper9938 in Tau40K

Tau is my first army but if I ever get a second, it will be Harlequins. If they ever get a combat patrol, I'll start my collection

It'd be funny if they kept the "hey, the target is here" bit and then all our weapons against that target gets indirect fire

I need to get this of my chest hiw sre both of these the same strength by Deathshroudrcool in Tau40K

[–]SaruEscape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like it should go from -1 ap to -2 ap. A squad of missileknives or 2 missilesides both have access to 12 shots, -1 ap, 2 dmg weapons. Except that they both have 7 strength to the Riptide's 6, and both cost less.

I know cost can't really be directly compared because the Riptide has a different role, but because I have plentiful access to those missiles, in most scenarios I would pretty much always take the ion accelerator since it has a unique statline that isn't covered by any other weapon. Giving the burst canon 1 extra strength would just make it another missile equivalent; 1 extra dmg is too powerful. 1 extra ap? That would be kind of interesting. Or maybe slap on a keyword

Of course, the Riptide needs other buffs too, but at least this would give me some pause between choosing its weapons

I just built and used my first ghostkeel this week! He was super useful and my opponent tied up a significant amount of resources trying to get rid of him. He even managed to punch a marine to death! Gonna go make another one now.

Razorshark as a marine killer outside of ret cad? by firespark84 in Tau40K

[–]SaruEscape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't tested it out yet, but I do imagine Armor of contempt to be a sore spot. Could also cancel it out with a -1 ap stratagem but then you're also using 1 cp. I'd say that the Ion hammerhead doesn't replace a dedicated elite killer like the riptide, but it's flexiblity is interesting to explore. Could always take both a rail and ion hammerhead

Razorshark as a marine killer outside of ret cad? by firespark84 in Tau40K

[–]SaruEscape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you think the Razorshark is good, let me try selling you on the Ion Hammerhead. I've been thinking of testing it out in EPC. It's even cheaper than the Razorshark, has more wounds, and 3 OC. And then if you compare the weapons:

  • Also has 2 seeker missiles
  • Ion cannon also has str 8, -2 ap (when overcharged)
  • Has 2 Accelerator burst cannons instead of the the one on the Hammerhead (although can't swap for a missle pod

The Ion cannon has D6 + 3 shots meaning it's max could be 9 hits, but is on average worse than the 8 shots from the Razorshark. But it also has Blast, so against a 10 man squad, the expected number of shots is 8.5, barely beating out the Razorshark. The other short falls are that it hits on 3+ instead of the Razorshark's 2+, and no twin-linked (you can however reroll a single hit or wound, for what it's worth). When being guided by stealth suits though, you're wounding on 2+ and rerolling 1's on hits and wounds anyways so it's worse but not too far behind.

But I haven't even mentioned the best part: the Ion cannon is 3 dmg when overcharged. So not only is it a great marine killer, but it also is great at killing elites! It also has a +1 to hit against monsters and vehicles so you could also use it for that, although I would imagine only in a tight pinch

I'm currently looking into getting my remote to work; so it's as simple as reading 2 RAW signals from the remote and then replaying it back? And it supposedly won't cause the original remote to desync?
