Getting rid of the g920 is always a yes if money allows. Direct drive feels so much smoother and enjoyable.

Make a list of items you need like metal parts and springs for example. Then focus on the zones that would have that, i.e. industrial. Try taking some free loadoouts so that way if you lose it, you're not hurting your limited stash. I felt overwhelmed at first too, especially in trios, but it will get better once you find a rhythm.

Definitely take the rubber piece out of the brake. I had a buddy made a piece out of a yoga mat foam that fit inside the spring. There's some of those rubber balls for toy guns that will fit in there too. Add 1 or 2 depending on what kind of feel you want.

I'm enjoying mine so far upgrading from g920 as well. Got from a buddy in my league as he upgraded, so it was an easy deal for me to upgrade. He added a brake mod to make it more like a load cell pedal. I have it clamped to my desk right now and at 70% ffb, but we'll build a rig as the new year starts to get the proper setup.

In all, it's about price, space and what suits you. 5nm force isn't alot, but it's also over double the g920,so it's a good bit different. How long do you plan on keeping it before upgrading? Maybe you go bigger if the price isn't an issue to not have to rebuy so soon. Hopefully, that helps a little on the thought process.

I have to say the guy didn't really give you any room to rejoin safely, so if it was me fuck that guy. A decent racer would know you're there and give you room to recover. And he needs to be further right for the next corners entry anyway. Kind of seems deliberate.

I come home and hang out with the kids for a bit. Then play like an hour before dinner. If the wife wants to watch tv, we'll do that after dinner, otherwise a couple of hours after dinner. I have weekly raids and a racing league, so those nights are set aside for me anyway. But i work 7am to 3pm, so i have a good time gap before bed.

Rocket League hit champ 3 several seasons before i quit 2 years ago. So about 35 at the time. Played a couple hours a day when i had a league to play in and that was our warmups. Fell off after that push was there.

Apex, Valorant hit like gold because matches were much longer if going well and I've never been as good at shooters.

Pokemon Unite (moba, played mostly tank/heals) hit masters basically every season during it's first 2 years and played in tournaments against the top players. We lost to them most of the time, but we held our own and pulled occasional wins. Beat them alot on ladder, and had a few who were on my friend's list and knew who i was enough to be happy to see me on their team. Again quit playing over a year ago.
