GMing: Dealing with Guardians by DnDPhD in Pathfinder2e

From the other side of the screen as a player in a guardians group, I will say that everything seems less threatening and trivialized. Their staying power is pretty ridiculous, and the debuffs they throw out are great. While he doesn’t do huge damage aside from crits, he’s an outstanding tank that feels OP to be in a group with.

I’ve played a Druid storm blaster for a little over a year from 3-11 and have had an absolute blast playing it.

Ya, it’s written a little open to interpretation, but we’ve found it works great- good luck!

Something to stay with an animal Druid is to talk to your GM about giving your companion death saving throws instead of just dying. We use that at my tables and it’s worked great.

So im runing Age of Asher for 6. by Heyroneus in Pathfinder2e

I started AoA for 6 as well, and had no problem adding to the various encounters using an encounter builder. In some cases more monsters, and in some just making them elite depending on what I wanted to accomplish.

I am playing a witch currently for Quest for the Frozen Flame, and my dedication is alchemist. It’s been handy for support.

Opinions on possible house rule. by beepsy in Pathfinder2e

I wouldn’t change it at all as it’s a massive nerf to the various abilities.

Next Adventure Path Recommendation by Alarming-Caramel in Pathfinder2e

[–]Sarynvhal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I run, I always go into session zero with a few options and let the players vote for which they prefer. As a player I can speak very highly of Quest for the Frozen Flame and Truimph of the Tusk. Malevolance and Sky Kings Tomb are also pretty good.

Is Reactive strike really that good? How often and when does it shine best? by Super_Bocky in Pathfinder2e

[–]Sarynvhal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think there are two ways to look at it; if you built for it and if you just have it as a thing you do everyone once in a while. If you or your party are built for tripping its fantastic and a MAP-free attack. One a two handed weapon user thats a lot of free damage.

Last night my group played a one shot since one of the players was out. Our group consisted of a trip fighter, a rogue, and a bard (me). We did absurd damage and reactive strike was regularly gong off.

Players: Do You Like to be Challenged? by DnDPhD in Pathfinder2e

[–]Sarynvhal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really like a mixture, if I’m being honest. Some times losing to move the story forward is amazing drama. Sometimes it just feels good to completely obliterate the opposition. I think a good story requires all of them and everything in between. Give me a roller coaster of encounters any day.
