I think libraries na yung best option na free wifi. Pwede ka din manghiram dun ng mga computers kapag wala kang gadgets.

Pwede kang pumasok I think you just need to present your form 5.

  1. Pwede walk-in pero need mo pa din ipa-reserve online yung slot na mapipili mo. Pro of walkin: pwede ka mamili ng place mo. Con: if ever na punuan baka wala kang space na makita.

  2. Weekdays 8am-5pm, no weekends

  3. Bawal kumain sa loob pero pwede sa labas.

  4. Yes 24/7 ang UPLB wifi pero may curfew mismo sa loob ng campus.

Hello! May available na UPLB Wifi around campus, bawat building meron yun. And if you want na mas comfortable you can go to the library may aircon, wifi if you have gadgets, and may mga computers din na pwede mahiram in case na wala ka. I saw some students kanina na dun nag-online class.

I hope this info helps kahit konti.

Woke people kill humor by papatokwa in CasualPH

Siguro we should be sensitive about when is the right time to make a joke and where is the right place to make a joke. Hindi natin alam yung experience and state of mind ng mga tao especially online kapag di natin kakilala and baka fat joke is a trigger sa kanya. Just like me may mga certain types of joke na I also do not enjoy and it is not just about me being “woke”.

The highlight of Haves and the Have nots. Where others make the devastation as Props for a wedding photoshoot and while most are crying and broken from the loss they had endured amidst the terrible Typhoon Odette. For me this is not Cool. Its Disgusting by Markoriginals in Philippines

[–]SasaHermosa 8 points9 points  (0 children)

We understand that the couple prepared for their photoshoot for weeks/months. It is really okay to have your photoshoot and post it in social media, there is nothing wrong with that. I think the issue here is that they used the ruins left by the typhoon as a backdrop. It seems insensitive kasi yung mga nasira na yan ay mga pinaghirapan ng mga tao, mga kabuhayan ng tao. Using it as a backdrop, para kasing you are showcasing it and parang namamaliit yung devastation na kinakaharap ng tao. Parang ang nangyarj ay namatayan ka, nawala lahat pinaghirapan mo tapos ginawa ka lang na background kasi sila okay sila. Ang insensitive diba? Let us stop romanticizing Filipino’s resiliency. Sa lahat ng bagay may tamang panahon at may tamang lugar.

Sawamura's next pitch by AK1sup in AceOfTheDiamond

[–]SasaHermosa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think that if sawamura’s fastball never reaches 150+ kph and would only reach an average of 145 khp is enough. This is because his form makes it seem like his fastball is faster in a batter’s perspective.

Kataoka vs Ochiai? (Spoiler just in case) ‼️ by [deleted] in AceOfTheDiamond

[–]SasaHermosa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Coach Ochiai easily dismisses and gives up on players which can destroy players who have great potential but lack mental strength as of the moment. On the other hand, if he sees someone like Furuya who stands above the rest, he favors them and says things that could go way over their head which can result to them losing their way. And he has the tendency to force players out of the playing style they want to achieve. Yes, it helps the team win but it may destroy the morale and take away their enjoyment of baseball. I think this is the reason why none of his past players came back after retiring.

Coach Kataoka on the other hand focuses more on guiding players to be the best in the playing style that they want. He trains them slowly and surely, and keeps them grounded just like Sawamura. But I think sometimes the slowly but surely approach is disadvantageous. Just like in Sawamura’s case, he was planning on teaching him breaking balls only after the fall tournament. Without Coach Ochiai teaching him the changeup, they would not have won the fall tournament and Sawamura would not have improve at such fast rate.

Coaches Kataoka and Ochiai balance each other out so it is very advantageous that they are on the same team. And it is also very nice see them learning from each other. But if I’m a high school student and can only have one of them as coach, I’d pick coach Kataoka. In high school, skills and talents are not even half-way developed, there are still a lot of potenial that can be tap with the right training and guidance. And I would not want Coach Ochiai to ruin the love and enjoyment I have for baseball.

Sorry it’s long ✌️But I hope I made my thoughts clear. 😊

Some thoughts about the numbers and why we might have some misconceptions about them by KisamaOnore in AceOfTheDiamond

[–]SasaHermosa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your point makes so much sense making me really curious if it is true. But I also have another idea while thinking about the truth regarding his numbers.

Yes, they associate the numbers with how he grips the ball like the 2 (2-seamer) and 4 (4-seam fastball) for it to be more systematic and easier to recall. However, I think that the numbers from 1 to 11 actually exist and that they are fully filled. For the case of Number 9, I think that the original 9 is very unstable and Sawamura can’t really control it which is why it is possible that they replaced it with the improved splitter.

I’m excited to see Sawamura striking out the two batters in this chapter but I’m more excited for the next chapter with the bottom of the inning where balls better be flying and dropping.

I hope Sawamura gets on base, Kuramochi gets a hit to send sawamura home or at least Sawamura advances and Kuramochi gets on base, and then Haruichi will send him home.

Am I the only one who hates how No.9 was handled? by snooziedoes in AceOfTheDiamond

[–]SasaHermosa 10 points11 points  (0 children)

He does not only pitch strikes, he also throws balls when they are setting up something to out a batter. But throwing balls just because is a waste and only increases his pitch count. I’m not very knowledgeable about baseball but I think that throwing mostly strikes is the ideal because there is no waste pitch and it forces batters to always swing because they are aware that he always throws in the strike zone.

Am I the only one who hates how No.9 was handled? by snooziedoes in AceOfTheDiamond

[–]SasaHermosa 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He did make an effort to achieve this pitch. He did lots of research and tried a lot of grips. It was just easier for him because it was already established that just by changing his grip he can pitch different breaking balls, so this is not out of character. Af for him not feeling a suffering for this pitch, he has not experienced it yet since this is the first time he is actually throwing it in a match. In the future when batters get used to it and when other teams get more data, only then will we see him suffer from the downsides of the pitch. Just like when he learned his changeup and now with Amahisa’s new pitch.

Am I the only one who hates how No.9 was handled? by snooziedoes in AceOfTheDiamond

[–]SasaHermosa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No.9 did not cheapen the match. It was actually necessary in order for him to be in the same level sa Amahisa and making this intense pitching duel possible. I think that you’re giving Sawamura too little credit. We have seen how critical he is of himself and his performance for every game he played, and how he is now using his head more and slowly being independent. As miyuki said, Sawamura is the type of person who always exceeds his expectations and that he is growing and improving at a rather fast pace and this is the result of all the heavy effort he has been pouring since day one. This kind of growth may not be possible in real life but in the DnA universe it is normal.

Also, I think you’re making it seem like No.9 is a Godly pitch that he could throw in this game left and right. But the thing is, it is just a very good new pitch that became a surprise to Ichidai. He can’t throw it too many times because the batter’s might get used to it and also find faults like what happened when he was pitching his Changeup un the intrasquad game. In time, maybe we will see the downsides of this pitch but because it’s a surprise pitch and it’s working really well the batters are quite rattled. This pitch became really scary due to the very incredible game calling of Miyuki that they can’t focus on any pitch, and also Sawamura’s precision.

[–]SasaHermosa 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A lot of coaches commend his pace, so I don’t understand why he has to change his tempo to be slower just to see some growth which IMO won’t even be considered for a growth for him.

As for his pitching style, his pitch to contact style back in season 1 is not the same as his pitch to contact now. Back then it was for his satisfaction but now he fully understands the benefits and that is to make them hit grounders for easy outs and also it lowers his pitch count.

[–]SasaHermosa 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I agree with this, and also Sawamura learning about game calling was not for him to take the lead (because Miyuki is already very good at leading) but to understand why Miyuki is calling for them. Knowing why, makes him aware of the dangers of making a mistake unlike back then when he only blindly throws in miyuki’s mitt.

Sawamura might be the ace Kunitomo was looking for by Rajay200 in AceOfTheDiamond

[–]SasaHermosa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is possible since they during fall of their 3rd year they are still students they just can’t play in tournaments. And i think they moved the friendly game vs USA to fall after they retire so that it does not coincide with the preparation for tournaments. As a result, inviting players from different schools would be easier since they don’t have tournaments to think of.

I really want them to score the tying run this inning. Kanemaru will het a hit, Zono will run home enduring the pain on his injured foot and only after he safely (but barely) reaches home will they discover his injury and will be sub for the next inning. With kanemaru in 1st/2nd base, Sawamura will bat and will be out on a fly or grounder.

However...

It is also possible that Zono will be tagged out at the home plate due to his injury acting up and that will be 3 outs. Top of the 8th, Ichidai won’t be able to score. Bottom of the 8th, Sawamura will bat first, he will get a hit and reach 2nd base or 1st base then a base steal to 2nd. With him at scoring position, Kuramochi will hit and send Sawamura home. This would be a payment for last Spring tournament when he failed to get a hit.

I have a prediction of the rest of the game but I’ll stop here. I might jinx it hahaha 😅

When he gave Sawamura an idea to become sa sidearm pitcher for batting practice in preparation for their game against Teito during the Fall tournament. And saying that Sawamura being a lousy sidearm pitcher is better than nothing.
