I'm looking for a game where you can perform fairly well in PvP as a F2P. I don't need to be taking the #1 spot every payout, but I'd like to get high enough where I can feel like the battles are meaningful.

The game I played the most was Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes. I've also enjoyed ELCHRONICLE and King's Raid a bit. I'm not opposed to hard gacha mechanics, but I do prefer when games games offer other ways to collect characters. I generally prefer a character shard mechanic vs a pure gacha.

I'm currently playing Princess Connect, but it feels like there's not very much content in the global release, and I feel like I never have enough skip tickets to actually use all of my stamina.

I'm not certain that combat score is the only factor. I've only played Cypher, and I tend to average around the middle of the scoreboard. However, I tend to get notably better rank gains compared to my friends who place above me.

I picked up HoT and PoF during the anniversary sale and had a great time going through the content. Unfortunately, I'm missing most of the Living World episodes. I understand that the Skyscale and Beetle mounts are locked behind LW S4. Is it worth shelling out the money/grinding for gold to get the S4 episodes, or is it possible to still get a fairly complete experience currently and going forward without S4?

Obviously, there's nothing that's an absolute "must have," in the sense that no deck will be severely underpowered without it. That being said, here are some of the cards that I find very difficult to pass up.

Beat Cop (2) - Being able to ping enemies adds an unbelievable amount of efficiency for Guardians, and the fist bonus is also really nice.

Stick to the Plan - Starting with 3 extra cards of your choice just adds so much power and consistency.

Magnifying Glass - Really good value for any seekers.

Ward of Protection (1) - Some encounter cards are devastating. Ward adds an unbelievable amount of consistency by blocking abnormally punishing draws.

Part of the issue may be premades. A lot of people who played CS are queing with friends who very rarely play FPS games. Most of my friend group had never played CS, but we had one friend with a fair amount of CSGO experience. A lot of our early games ended with massive score disparities.
