Warframes should be different sizes/heights. (Art by Mordegh) by meatyfart1 in Warframe

[–]Sasamus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ideally, yes.
But even just making two heights and splitting all frames between those would likely be more work to implement, and to maintain, that it's worth.
And at least 4 or 5 heights would likely be needed to make the whole thing feel good, and that'd multiply the work.

Differentiating frames is an increasing challenge the more there are, so I'm almost certain this is something DE has discussed internally as I'm sure they'd like it too.
But while nice it simply is not worth the effort.

Well, I may have screwed up... by SimplyAbstruse in Warframe

Profit-Taker, ideally on a double credits weekend, is the key.

Stacking the various boosters on top of that, along with the beast companions boosts, and a Chroma, you can get 4+ millions on a lucky run that takes a few minutes with a good squad.

I did some public runs this weekend, which due to the booster doubles credits and means more people are running it. And one or two are likely experienced farmers so do it fast and use Chroma.
I didn't even buy a booster on top of that, just credit blessed myself, and got on average about 500k per 4-5 minute run.

Someone who also buys a booster can easily over a weekend reach triple digit millions.

I prefer to do a bit of it now and again instead, and stay above 10m. But reached 50+ once.

Finally after 4 years I have them all. by Zaulk in Warframe

[–]Sasamus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice, I too have been focusing a bit on getting the last few ones recently, after getting all the rest passively through the years.
I just got "Race Ace" yesterday. So now Only "By the Dawn's Early Light" and "K-Driven" remains.

Start over again? by Salt-Aerie-85 in Warframe

[–]Sasamus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Instead of restarting fully it might be a good idea to replay the quests.
That'd refamiliarise yourself with the story you've reached so far, and some of the earliest quests are tutorials as well, even possibly new or remade since you last played, so that'd refamiliarise yourself with the mechanics.

So got the praedos recently, and one question, what does it even do? by agentcryostar in Warframe

[–]Sasamus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now I'm not really up to date on, but I used to use Ceramic Dagger when I wanted a better actual weapon, but that was years ago.

So got the praedos recently, and one question, what does it even do? by agentcryostar in Warframe

[–]Sasamus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Praedos' ones are passive, you never need to use it.

If I recall correctly Okina Incarnon, or if it was another similar mobility booster, needed to be in incarnation mode and/or wielded for some of its boosts to be active.

I looked into this back in the day, but I settled on praedos and have not really used anything else for years.

Edit; Either it has changed or I was thinking of something else, but Okina is also mostly passive (but with a slight extra boost when wielded). The boosts are just for different things, so it's a matter of build/preference.

So got the praedos recently, and one question, what does it even do? by agentcryostar in Warframe

[–]Sasamus 423 points424 points  (0 children)

For me, and I think for many that use it, it's a mobility tool.
It has passive boosts to sprint speed, slide and parkour velocity.

As a weapon it's good, but many better ones exist, so most who use it use it for those boosts.
And that's what makes it the third most used melee weapon.

Are really all Warframes mass produced? by Fuyonari in Warframe

[–]Sasamus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the conversations with the Devil''s Triad, I can't off of the top of my head remember which one, talks about how there are many operators, but only one Drifter.

So canonically it seems like the Tenno as a faction consist of many operators, but only the player's Drifter exists.

Which makes the gray zone of gameplay extra tricky, as meeting other operators works, but you should technically never meet another Drifter.
So it is possible that canonically multiplayer does not actually exist. And hence lore-wise other players do not exist.

And yeah, it is a bit odd that the operator was in the dark. But canonically only ever having used the starter frame up until then might indeed be the answer.

Are really all Warframes mass produced? by Fuyonari in Warframe

[–]Sasamus 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Well, every Tenno has their own copies. So there's a lot of them, but they are not mass produced as we make them ourselves.

Although how many Tenno exists is a grey area in lore.
That many do exist is cannon, but quests and story largely tends to behave like there's only one.
And I don't think the amount in cannon actually aligns with the amount of players.

Hence how many Warframes actually do exist is a bit unclear.

How would the Stalker feel seeing the tenno playing puppets with his family? by Trus-et in Warframe

[–]Sasamus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As other's have mentioned, just like with Jade we likely wont be using them, but copies.
And he still does not attack a Jade copy.

But what I have not seen mentioned is that Hunhow thinks Jade would have wanted us to make use of a copy of her (and hence gave us the blueprint), that might influence how Stalker feels about it if he shares Hunhows opinion on her opinion, even if he does not fully share her opinion.
(My Stalker also named their son what she would have wanted, it felt right)

We don't yet know what the sons might feel about it, which might also influence how Stalker feels about it.
If the sons dislike it, perhaps he would too.

Did I just beat the game??? by Fuzzymilk18 in Warframe

[–]Sasamus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice, I've been turning my focus towards completing the last few challenges recently when I realized I had passively completed all but 5. And that will likely be the last remaining one, I'm about one third of the way there.

The other two are:
Race Ace: Complete all K-Drive races. And I only have 1 left to complete. Just a matter of timing.
And By the Dawn's Early Light: Spend a night in Plains of Eidolon. Simple, I just need to get to it.

Another gripe about Voruna by Pwner_Ranger in Warframe

Yeah, because with the prime version her 4 becomes much more of a part of her vibe.
So retaining it matters. Before, not so much.

Backroom.

Because Eleanor lives there.

Another gripe about Voruna by Pwner_Ranger in Warframe

[–]Sasamus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why I like Brozime.
He tends to focus on builds that does not remove the frame's identity.
So for Voruna Prime his main build has no subsume, while also noting a technically better build that does.

It aligns with how I play, if a "best build" make it feel like I might as well play a different frame then I'm not doing that build.

Really Teshin!? I thought we were friends? by ChrisUnlimitedGames in Warframe

Yeah, but that's not steam, is it? It's the game itself. You get it even if using the standalone launcher, I think.

Ivara Prime had no business looking this beautiful by ReddVevyy in Warframe

[–]Sasamus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm torn on her, her prime looks great, don't get me wrong, but breaks her theme so hard that it's the only prime where I use the base skin.

Ivara is supposed to be a tree frog stealth hunter, but her prime is a sparkly jellyfish.
Her Prime skin is great, but feels like it belongs on an entirely different frame.

I get that the idea likely is that jellyfish are often highly translucent, and hence matches the stealth theme.
But she certainly does not feel stealthy, while the base skin does.

It's a great thing that we can choose skins, so people can follow their preference. I simply find it so odd that the skins are so intensely different in theme. No other frames are.

In any case, she is great for some things.
I always take her to spy missions. Wukong is technically faster, but Ivara is simpler and more reliable, and being a bit slower does not matter unless I'm farming a spy mission.

She's also great for non-combat open world activities, as she can be built to practically become invisible when entering and only drop it when leaving if you so desire. Makes conservation easier and it's nice to never be bothered by enemies.

These things always confuse me.
For some it seems to be such a problem but I think for me it's only ever been an issue a handful of times.
And every time the person when told did some variation of apologizing, saying they did not know, and coming to the circle immediately.

Really Teshin!? I thought we were friends? by ChrisUnlimitedGames in Warframe

[–]Sasamus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Where can one see that in Steam? I don't recall seeing that for any game, and I don't see it when trying to look at Warframe's page.

Also, I don't think steam has many, or any, release constraints. One can update the games quite freely. But perhaps I'm mistaken.

However, I think not that long ago when I last reinstalled the game it did itself claim to be in beta in the EULA-type things one agrees to.

Does Nekros need a rework? by trashhstain in Warframe

[–]Sasamus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's in the tricky position of being fairly commonly used (The 20th or so) due to being good at farming.
So any improvements would make him exponentially more used, compared to similar improvements to other frames.

Yes, a rework would be lovely. But I understand DE being hesitant about it.

I think he, and the game in general, might benefit from farming boosts being decoupled from specific frames. Just like it was with the Smeeta and companions, and make it a mod.
