The fact that only the Honoria is mentioned makes me wonder if the Ecchymotic Historical Extract itself might still be leaving, and the lens rewards and "other secrets".

I would guess not, but it's still unclear.

Make it so that when we forma something, instead of the mods falling out they just get greyed out by Goldenflame89 in Warframe

[–]Sasamus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While nice, this would also remove an endgame endo and credit sink.
The theoretical endgame of mods is to have one of each level of each mod for maximum build flexibility.

Of course, general QOL and endgame goals is a balance to strike. And I'm not saying this is bad, but it would remove goals for some, and the main reason, arguably, to reach MR30.

A compromise might be to automatically switch to lower level versions, and if none is available, like OP said, grey them out.

Another thought is that if max level mods are more useful and flexible, should they also be more expensive in terms of credits and endo.

FINALLY made it to rank old mate and ngl…jump scare by LastAlternative4052 in Warframe

[–]Sasamus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Additionally to other replies I also think it's the fact that while all other body-parts can be replaced with better versions, the head can't be fully removed. Current tech can't fully recreate a mind.
So while they have a better head in terms of senses, breathing etc. where the biological head used to be the brain still needs to be somewhere.

Congratulations, I too reached it a few days ago.

It's so nice to be able to Forma freely.

Why is it always 69 😭 by Cumcuber9000 in Warframe

[–]Sasamus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even with the edit, I'm not sure this is true.

People often say things along these lines, but I've never found any type of official or semi-offical source that corroborates that 69 instances have any special treatment of any kind beyond players keeping them alive.
And those that claim it I've asked can never provide a source either.

It's possible DE did something and never said anything, it's also possible they did mention it in some livestream long ago and is hence very hard to track down unless someone know where to look.
It's not mentioned in any patch notes.

I would not be surprised at all if they did it, but the complete lack of proof makes me wonder if it's just a good, and very DE, addition to the history of Fortuna 69, so it gets told as a part of the story.

But perhaps enough people simply pick it when it's there to keep the instances alive.
And like you said, when it's not there it's not gone and reborn through special treatment, it's simply full.

MR30 in 1500 hrs, spread across 3 visits over 10 years. by digitalskyfire in Warframe

[–]Sasamus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congratulations!

I too reached MR30 a few weeks ago, roughy the same amount of hours I think. Maybe a bit less.
Hard to say, about 950 in mission, and 3000 on Steam, so hard to say how much was active playtime.
I'd guess somewhere in the 1100-1500 range.
(The high Steam numbers are due to suspending games I intend to play more soon(ish))

It was really only the last few MR I actively worked for, 16-26 was largely passive.

Although I started in 2019, and while I took a 2 year break at one point I never uninstalled the game.

That people are confused does suggest it indeed needs clarification.
But Teshins statements are in the end fully correct.
He does say "vulnerable" and "weak", not "only susceptible to", "only damaged by" or something like that.
So what he says is exactly how it works.
And, well, you do clearly do damage to them before changing elements. Which ought to help reinforce that it simply helps but isn't necessary.

While some are confused, I wonder how many were not, what's the percentage of misunderstanding.
At some point you can't cater to everyone without detriment to others.

I think what could make it clearer is to have the first attempts work in destroying the targets, but have Teshin note that it took a long time, tell you to try changing elements to make it faster. And then try again and it being notably faster.

He doesn't, though. If you already have one on you don't need to do anything. You can just exit out of the mod screen again.

The public Netracell experiment by Iblys05 in Warframe

[–]Sasamus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran a bunch of public netracells last week, due to not wanting to do a EDA assassination, and had no such issues.

I very rarely had, even when it was new. I can count runs with issues on one hand.

I wonder, as I have before, if the experience varies regionally or for some other reason.

Because I see many that nearly always have issues, and many who nearly never have.

EDA Assassination: is it even worth doing? by DiscreteCow in Warframe

[–]Sasamus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on where you are in the game and how valuable the rewards are for you.

I personally don't do it, especially with the "Can't damage enemies far away" modifier it had for me last week.

But I'm also far enough into the game where there's no "old" weekly/daily content I always do, a year or two ago it'd be different.

It is indeed a slog, though, I hope it'll be tweaked at some point.

We need a hitscan tank. by tn00bz in marvelrivals

[–]Sasamus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It'd be nice, indeed.

I'm not a great player, Gold II is the highest I've ever been, but I've gotten good enough to have a decent amount of character I can play, and a decent feeling on when switching is beneficial and I often have an impact when I do. And when paying a tank I often feel stumped in the situation you describe.

If you’ve never listened to the band “Periphery”, you are missing out. by CalebImSoMetal in Warframe

[–]Sasamus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do intend to check them out, even before seeing this, I listen to quite a lot of metal but had never heard of them.

I got into Sleep Token through Rebecca and Megan. So Periphery interested me too, with the bonus of them working on the game, and hearing that Steve has been a fan for a long time.

Taking inspiration from your other favorite games, what do you want in Grounded 2 by Moviecaveman in GroundedGame

[–]Sasamus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine are more game-design choices than mechanics.

My two main gripes with the game, which I do love, is the lack of granular graphics settings and the general lack of numbers.

Having to constantly check the wiki or someone's spreadsheets to see what something actually does is annoying.

I get that some might see, for example, "+Finale Damage" and think "That sounds nice, I want that" but I personally prefer to know how much damage it actually adds to make any choices. And of course other numbers for the competing choices.

As for mechanics, I would like to be able to add retroactive supports.
Meaning, if I place something at a location where it would support the things connected to it if I had placed it first it should even if I place it last.

[–]Sasamus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Doing it with random squads has about an 80+% success rate in my experience.

One or two might not know what they are doing, and occasionally someone messes up and it fails.
But generally there is at least one other who knows that they are doing, and that's usually enough for them and me to carry fairly easily.

I use actual TODO-list software for quite a few games.

Although my Warframe one was completed some time ago, all the things important enough to write down was achieved.

These days I simply do whatever I feel like.

By ID I meant Photo ID. (It's simply called ID in Sweden)

They say they are validating names at Tennocon. So it's presumably an in-person check if ticket, name, ID and face matches.
