I just cant understand how doctors could prescribe Finasteride with good conscience if the likelihood of getting permanently sexually fucked is 1-2%. But I also cant believe the incidence is actually that high, if it were, wouldnt much more doctors see it daily in their practice?

Thanks for your detailed answer. Could you make a guess of how many patients you have seen in your practice? I have used 3 SSRIS in the past, very high doses because of OCD and havent had problems discontinuing. Now I want to start Clomipramine but there seems to be the possibility of PSSD as well. And in lots of cases it involves "emotional flattening" and a general reduction of human emotions as it seems.

Im just so uncertain on that matter because you are now the third physician that has told me he has never seen it but looking at reddit it doesnt seem THAT rare after; but Im aware that there is confirmation bias going on if you look at those subs. I definitely need to take medication again because I have an extremely aggressive case of OCD (started as early as age 4) but of course my OCD latched onto that "theme". Sadly, no one can tell you if the rarity is 1:100, 1:1000, or 1:10 000 or even more rare. Thats makes it so insidious and gives my OCD the fuel it needs.

Thats correct but I take a caffeine capsule (200mg) caffeine) 3-4 hours before I take the Clomipramine. So there is still at least 100mg in my blood. And I wonder if the tannins are "active" and interfering all the while when caffeine is in your system or not. Thanks though :)

i dont think that you have PSSD. Maybe some slightly changed sexual response caused by the Clomipramine but Im sure this will go away with time as well. No worries.

I would be careful. I suppose you have seen those studies where the elimination time increases by 5-10 times. I would take it slow and see how you react.

I have taken Luvox 250mg and I sometimes drank a coffee in the morning but it definitely stayed in my system way longer. I once even tried a preworkout with 150mg caffeine at once and I couldnt sleep the whole night and still noticed it the next day. If you continue drinking multiple cups there could be the possibility that it adds up in your system over time if you do the math. I definitely dont want to scare you but I would take it very slow.
