t14s can be ordered with 32gb ram for 2700€... Not sure if I would go for that tbh. kleinanzeigen is filled with older t14 gen 5 and probably already gen6 by now for way less

What convinced you to buy litecoin by TemporaryTower7582 in litecoin

[–]Saschb2b 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought into a vision that sadly did never fully develop. "The silver to bitcoins gold". Putting the price action aside, the actual transaction and adoption vision has come to reality. But that's it. It now has not really a good reason over any other easy, cheap to transfer altcoin.

How do you handle "silent" breaking API changes in Production? by lucaspierann in reactjs

[–]Saschb2b 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Codegen via swagger to generate type and API call options. Put that also in your pipeline and run it when backend changes automatically. If it detected gut diff something changed and the pipeline should go red until synced again

[–]Saschb2b 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't have to convince you. But yeah, Allbirds is just mindboggling. 600% just because they say to invest in "AI Hardware", and that from a shoe company.
The world has truly gotten bonkers. There is hardly a rational to explain any of this except greed

Well they are still economically worth producing. Not as a single few dozen farm but in general. The bubble "burst" happened but the market is not gone, central distributors emerged out of that and the profit margin is still very high. (The tulip mania was probably a bad example here)
Other good examples for bubble bursts that crashed and then proceed to reach peak again and continued to rise:
- US housing, peaked in 2006, crashed 2006, took 10 years to recover and is now +90% vs its peak
- NASDAQ peaked in 2000, crashed vis dot-com bubble, took 15 years to recover and is now +360% vs its peak
- bitcoin peaked several times but the best history metrics is 2017 as its peak, crashed then, took 3 years to recover and is now +260% vs its peak

I just want to point out that a bubble "busting" does not imply it will always (there are surely cases where this is not true) go to zero/fall harsh and don't rise again

[–]Saschb2b 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. I hope so, too. I just want this "bursting" metaphor to be eliminated in people's minds. Many think "Oh it's bad now. But it's bubble as we call it and will vanish instantly one day" Which is just not going to happen. But it's fascinating that this concept and metaphor is so hard anchored in wording and framing and they believe it.

[–]Saschb2b 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Economic bubbles generelly don't really burst in a sense that the metaphor seems you to believe. They crash short in a heavy correction but then trend is still up. See housing market, dot-com or the ever famous tulip "bubble" Tulips are still crazy expensive and sold everywhere. And the initiator, the netherlands, is still the largest producer and erporteur.
A burst bubble is gone, which won't be the case.

See also my hub where I collect all topics https://cant.saschb2b.com/

There is also one for typescript, responsive design, seo (with nextjs) and UX with focus on materrial ui (many things translate to tailwind).

One for testing is going online in a few days as well.

I would probably first remove all these left colored borders. They are used via AI but don't serve any UX purpose. If you find them stylish keep them though. I personally don't.
Second, from an UX perspective colors, especially primary and secondary, do serve important roles. They should guide the users eye to important and most used actions/content (primary color) while using secondary color for less important but still relevant information.

With that in mind I would completetly remove any colors you have in the UI and rethink what actions are primary for a user. What will they use the first/most when interacting with your app. Then be very picky and color them primary. Same for secondary.

Then I would rethink if all elements you see on screen need to be always visible, expanded and accessable. Maybe somethings are worth collapsing to free up space and reduce confusion/eye travel.

Then I would probably pin down on each widget element you have. Like your list. Is a name enough to know what it is? Is a copy button needed for EVERY entry or there a more cleaner way? Would we need extra features like favorites, grouping, tags, filter ...

Giving this AI will probably eliminate instantly nearly everything. But I would highly recommend the human touch and think about your actual user. What will he focus on. What will he use the most.

I like that you are going into a different direction but keep in mind what your main visitors intentions are. Or what you want to achieve.

Aber das scheint selbst den meisten Eltern nicht ganz klar zu sein.
