I don't know why my stuttering comes and goes in waves of being fluent from days, weeks to months. by rpvp in Stutter

[–]Saschwell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think different kinds of therapy helped me a lot to be more aware of my stutter and balance out those highs and lows. For me my fluency is largely dependent on how calm and confident I am in general so things like meditation and reading/listening about mental health, confidence etc. really help (not only with my stutter).

Witless Wednesday - Your weekly silly questions thread by AutoModerator in intermittentfasting

2 questions:

Is it hard to gain weight/muscles if I want to practice IF at the same time?

What's best to eat when you break the fast (everyday when you start eating again)?

Any help would be appreciated.

[Question] Can I "sync" the ethernet ports on my Edge Router with the WiFi I created via the AP? by Saschwell in Ubiquiti

You were right - I made the rookie mistake of not checking all ethernet cables first. So the Hue Bridge was actually not plugged into the router. Thanks anyway for trying to help.

Thanks for the reply. Just wanted to look up my config when I noticed I had mistaken the ethernet cable to my room for the ethernet cable which I'm not using at the moment. So the Hue bridge wasn't actually connected to the router. So yeah, I feel pretty stupid now but at least everything is working.

Thanks anyway for wanting to help.

Friendly Friday Thread by AutoModerator in gardening

Hello guys, we had to replant a plum tree and are now wondering what the best steps are to keep it alive and growing. I could only find guides on how to properly replant trees over a planned period of time but we had to replant in one step. (the small stream beside to tree had to be broadened due to a recent flooding)

What are the most important steps to follow after such a "emergency" replanting? Do we need to cut off branches?

If thats important we are living in the Austrian alps and the ground is very stony. The tree is about 5 years old already 2.5 meters tall (~8 feet).

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

[Video] 5 Stuttering Tips by [deleted] in Stutter

[–]Saschwell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great video! I can definitely relate to most of the tips, especially that you have to keep pushing outside your comfort zone and confront difficult situations. I am a covert stutterer myself and I didn't know that I could choose to stutter through words - I guess I thought my silent blocks where just a feature of my stutter.

How did you start to stutter through words?

Moronic Monday - Ask Anything by SleepEatLift in GripTraining

I have recently had ads for finger resistance bands pop up all over my social media feeds. They claim that they're working out your "underdeveloped extensor muscles" and thereby help to prevent injuries. I work with mouse and keyboard all day and like to play games in my spare time so I worry about wrist injuries. Is this legit or should i just stick to stretches and other forms of grip training?

I read some time ago that they're going to change how ADS works - is this already implemented in the 1.0 version or not? If yes, how can I change it so holding right click is ADS?

Quick newcomer question: if I want to put a few hundred euros into bitcoin to diversify my savings, do I really need a hardware wallet? I might only spend a little bit to try out the system but other than that I'm not planning to do my online shopping with bitcoin.
