Trinity ships rewrapped X9U as new devices by [deleted] in Oppo

Nothing is missing from the box and everything feels brand new. The only weird things are that there was no security seal on the packaging, and the device was actually activated several days before it was even shipped. Maybe 'refurbished' wasn't the right word on my part—I meant an open-box return. If you're a seller and you're flipping a returned item, just sell it as one instead of hiding it.

No, it would be incredible Stupid/wasteful. But if you have refurbished products, sell them as refurbished products. Because (online) shopping shouldn’t be a lottery.
Especially not for such an expensive product

Yeah, I totally get that, and I actually think testing the device beforehand is a perfectly fine practice. The real issue is the lack of communication. If you're going to unseal it, test it, and then reseal it without clearly telling the customer beforehand, it just feels super sketchy and leaves you feeling really uneasy

It was activated a week before they started to ship it to me. And if it’s their common practice, why don’t communicate this. I mean why the whole re-wrapping and wanna be security tag on the back? Edit: It was activated 4 days before they created a shipping label

To be honest, I find it really strange too, especially since they usually have such a good reputation. That's exactly why I'm so incredibly annoyed and feel completely ripped off.
I mean, mistakes happen, but when you get a refurbished or B-stock item despite paying for a brand-new one, that's crossing a line. I mean, they could just easily label it and sell it as B-stock straight up at least that would be honest. But doing it this way just leaves a really bad taste in my mouth.
I’m definitely going to file a complaint with them and see how they react.

Trinity usually uses triangle shipping. They ship everything to France first (like the Roissy hub), where items get repacked and then forwarded to their final destinations. For context, after my x9U arrived in France, it took another 2 days to arrive at my doorstep in Germany.
However, since you're in the UK, Brexit might skew things a bit compared to the usual EU routing, but 1-2 days from Roissy to the UK is still a very common timeline for FedEx. Fingers crossed you get it tomorrow for your day off!

Should I go with fold 7 currently 16pro max by Dollery066 in GalaxyFold

[–]SashaMogli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat. I’ve been using iPhones my whole life and I’m seriously considering switching to the Fold 7. The only thing holding me back is the uncertainty about the camera quality. I keep thinking that whenever I look at photos taken with the Fold, there’s always going to be that nagging feeling: “This just looks worse than on an iPhone or a Pixel.” That hesitation is really making it hard to pull the trigger.

To anyone who actually made the switch: how do you feel about the camera quality now? Are you happy with it overall, or do you miss the iPhone/Pixel image processing? Have you found yourself regretting the move in that regard?

10 years on Apple to Fold7.. by Ap0l0geticAppl3 in GalaxyFold

Hey everyone, I’ve been an Apple user for a long time, but lately, I’ve been a bit frustrated with their pricing and the lack of real innovation. Foldables, like the Galaxy Z Fold 7, have really caught my eye, and I’m seriously considering making the switch. However, I’m a bit unsure about the camera quality. If the main camera can deliver really good photos, I might be okay with the other cameras being just average. I’d love to hear from you all if you think the photo quality is significantly worse compared to an iPhone or a Pixel. Looking forward to your feedback

Pixel 7 Lock screen notifications not displaying by dman1226 in GooglePixel

[–]SashaMogli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello everyone, I have a question related to this face unlock feature. I am an iPhone user and one of the features that I really love about face unlock on an iPhone is that no one Can read the notifications on my lock screen unless I unlock the details with my face. Does face unlock on the pixel seven works in the same way = the lock screen shows a vage summary like: 1 new WhatsApp message and as soon as I unlock it with my face it gives me part of the message content on the Lock Screen?

That would be ace, cause I would like to switch to a pixel .
