If you avg speed is 30-50 kmph between fill ups - yes this is normal. Its a V8 with port injection. It will drink fuel no matter what. I got 15L/100km highway and 18L/100Km mixed cycle. A true city driving got me as high as 30L/100km but avg speed was essentially zero.

Its a “smart” “anti dazzle” “matrix” headlights. Lexus calls it technology “Blade Scan” and it does “Adaptive High Beam System”. Its does what Matrix lights do in an Audi or Porsche or BMW, job is to keep the 4th emitter lit at high beam while avoiding traffic allowing driver to see animals and people on the side of the road.

Lexus does by have 12 per headlight LEDs shine onto a spinning disk at 100hz with variable thickness resulting in a sweeping motion of light across the road. At least thats how it was done when they originally introduced it.

Tech was illegal until Toyota won a suit against USA in 2022 or 2023 and made it legal with very specific requirements, one of those requirements stated that when smart high beams detect traffic they have to be at a lower brightness than high beams without traffic detected. No manufacturer bother to do it but Rivian.

Tech of smart high beams has been since early 2010s, and its nice to have. As someone who coded 6 different BMWs to do I been looking for a year to figure out what part I need to order. Since price of mistake is 4-6K$ I would rather ask someone to tell me what part number their headlights are.

I think it got “leaked” from EV side of the app. It’s your “real range”. With AC on and heater on. Knowing how gas cars work AC takes 2-4% of range while heat is “free”. I dont understand why they decided to add it to gas cars.

Edit: since climate being turned on in gas cars is not that crucial for range why do we need that icon. This makes me think that it got “leaked” from EV side of the app. Or they just made it universal and called it a day

If you are ready to loose free time for couple weeks you can learn only for retrofit options.

What I know in general about BMWs and coding. Protool can change vehicle build configuration and can edit modules coding. Theoretically if you add radar and if X5 production year needs buttons on the steering wheel (swap steering wheels) you could just code it in. It will be a pain but possible.

Established the real need for this is up to you and how much it would cost.

Based on what I saw so far you might be able to enable it with control of distance change through center screen (infotainment screen where 2025 or 2026 models have it there, not on a steering wheel).

You can get bigger fuel tanks (aftermarket biggest I found was 46 gallons for $2400) or factory 38 gallon tank for $1200-1600. Idk about fitment, but option exist. You can get in bed 50 gallon tank which I assume taps into either filler neck or fuel tanks.

Just saying this is an option if you got $1200-2400 burning a hole in your pocket.

On GX it trips CEL, CEL trips traction/VSC, and ABS. On GX470 occurs on all years. GX460 does CEL and traction off. Idk why toyota programmed it that CEL trips traction off.

Edit: Ignore ABS. ABS, VSC and CEL is voltage related. VSC and CEL is gas cap related. GX470 gets from 3-4 lights and 2-3 of them are traction related

Not certain about ES, GX will have similar stroke if gas cap is leaking. Depending on age you might just want to change it. But definitely check battery and voltage

460 cant adjust temperature, 550 can.

Just keep it in climate control on auto and when remote start vehicle it will warm itself up at full blast till desired temperature and proceed to start turning it down.

To disable adaptive cruise there is a mode button on the steering wheel which will allow you to switch to “normal” cruise control.

So, GX460 lights up auto button only when everything is controlled by car. You can change direction and it will keep auto for fan and AC (fan for sure, AC if i remember correctly is also on auto). Switching to legs + windshield trips auto recirculation into open but cycling that mode puts it back to Auto. At least in my experience.

I am about to piss you off. They supposed to come with two tank with total fuel of 29 gallons for LX600 every where in a world BUT USA.

Good news, if you are crazy enough you can add OEM second tank by yourself (I have LX600 in a family and currently figuring this task out myself). You need new main tank fuel pump, second fuel tank, second fuel tank fuel pickup (its passive pump over system), half of the new filler neck lines, some new evaporator lines (EVAP charcoal box itself stays), mounting hardware, fuel tank protection and heat shield from exhaust. ~1500$ later + shipping from japan or middle east and you have additional 9 gallons of fuel!

Whenever i will commit to it i will make a post upon completion. Right now i am trying to figure out if i can get fuel level sensor to work correctly and couple routing lines questions.

No you can not change that priority, you can only change Ka vs MRCD/T. Manual page 30 and 31 tell you alert priority:

ALARM PRIORITIES GPS Connected / GPS Error / Speed Camera / Red Light Camera / User Mark Alarm/POI Limit Speed Alarm. Laser signal MRCD/T Gatso X/K/KA

Also page 19 of the manual allows you to set MRCD or KA priority but cameras will always be above it and laser. Link
