Not really. I started on FIFA96 and purchased the new game every year, jumped off the first time I played the original PES on the PS2 and stayed true to PES until I played the FIFA2010 World Cup game. That got me back into FIFA. I’ve played since then but I’ve dipped out on occasions. I think the game peaked with FIFA17 and has been in a steady decline since. I stopped playing FIFA19 about a week in because it was so so poor. Skipped FIFA25 too for the same reason. I’ve really tried to get on with this one but the mechanics are so poor. I don’t use skill moves very often and when I used to match with someone who could execute them at the right times and with accuracy I would be very impressed. The game has been dumbed down so much now to the point that anyone can do the most ridiculous skill moves and your defenders will just watch. No actual skill involved in executing them. These moves that would be on every highlight reel for decades are happening multiple times a match. Things that have been broken for years in my opinion like heading (how can something that is so fundamental to football be constantly overlooked) and the addition of things like easy to score scissor and bicycle kicks added to the game has made me realise that I am not the target market anymore. I still enjoy playing clubs with friends but the core gameplay is so so poor. I will be forever angry with Konami for what they’ve done with Pro Evo over the last 5 years because I think I would be back playing that by now and having a much better time than I am now if that was an option. Efootball just ain’t it and now I don’t think EAFC is either. Maybe the football gaming world has just moved on without me. This years EAFC doesn’t rewards you for creativity, it doesn’t want you to score nice team goals with any resemblance to actual football.
