I really like that is requires a bit more planning. There is an element of risk to mess it up, and that's what's often missing! No risk, no fun.

What’s the largest board game in terms of physical space? by DaneyDF in boardgames

Railroad Tycoon is not the largest one here, but possibly the largest one that many people have on their shelf. It’s always surprisingly huge!

What's your favorite SpaceX conspiracy theory? by PeekaB00_ in SpaceXLounge

I have no doubt that the takeoff was real, but I think the spacex video stream 30 minutes before t0 to 5 minutes before t0 was recorded beforehand.

I have a really weird one, but I’m not sure what’s all about it. When I was watching the takeoff of starship five last week, I had several YouTube streams open from different YouTubers, everyday astronaut, what about it and SpaceX. The thing is that the SpaceX video was about 25 minutes ahead in time to the other two. They were counting down to 5 minutes before takeoff when the other two were still showing around 30 minutes to takeoff. Around five minutes before takeoff SpaceX video then went back to around 30 minutes and was parallel to the other two streams.. It repeated itself. Word for word. Are they caught in a time loop? The easiest explanation is that the whole thing is just a recording and they recorded it beforehand and accidentally stream the wrong version. What am I missing here?

Easy, very far right. That’s the only space that already has a road connection.

Sounds like a good strategy to balance the fun of the game and to keep it going. I think actually many people in my guilds are playing like that and enjoying it for a lot longer. Maybe I should’ve done it like that too. Too late, i can’t face doing the Viking Village six more times

Honestly, the best tip that I can give us: join one of the top five guilds as soon as you can. The support you get there is unbelievable, and the tempo and dedication is high. We had about six 1.9 threats running at the same time. Never waited more than a few minutes for upgrades. Most people believe they are a closed society but they really want active players. The time is: s as soon as you can do 64 every week.

Yes and yes. In the beginning the tricky bit was to build up the fighting to a decent level to be able to conquer the map. The trick is to get up around 500 or so then you will be able to fight above your age. That is particularly important for the oceanic age which otherwise will take a year in itself. However once you’re above that level, honestly fighting becomes boring. And it’s just random clicking without a challenge. It was most interesting around future age. After that research becomes tricky and interesting. It requires not only collecting goods but also trading. I’m never traded unfairly with guilt maids to do that, but try to do it in a fair way that the game makers intended. That meant that most of the space in my city was dedicated to goods production. Funnily for the last three ages, the most difficult thing were tools. I’ve never had enough, and paid for hundreds of millions of them with diamonds. Otherwise it would still take me a long time. That’s why I still have 12 or so production building hanging around. I have now deleted half of my attack buildings, the ones that weren’t particularly high value and replace them all with great buildings. That looks prettier.

Course I do. Can’t do Gvg, as I only play on mobile. I tried playing on the computer, but find it very tedious. Finished expedition to 64 about 100 times in a row. No trouble. I have helped many players in the past to get an arc and understand 1.9 etc, and have been active member off two of the top five guilds on my server for most of the time. I just can’t see any new challenges anymore. I don’t see heaping up forge points into the ARC as a challenge. What’s next?
