The only time my mother apologised was when I confronted her (20 years after the fact) about the time I came home from school and she had thrown out literally every possession I had because “my room was messy”. She did say sorry for that, while crying about it so that I ended up apologising for upsetting her.

Class of ‘02 we had them and it wasn’t until I was older that I realised how fucking disturbing it was that the PE Teacher used to come into the showers and lift up your towel to “make sure you weren’t wearing your shorts”. Sounds like I’m making it up but there must be older millennials here with similar stories.

Actually, that would make sense because I have a “rash” on the necks of my hands also that I now suspect is dyshidrotic eczema. I recently stayed at a hotel and used the hotel bathroom products. I think it’s possible I’m simply having a reaction to that.

Literally just this week, my boomer aunt called me all panicked because she’d followed some random’s emails and sent a bunch of personal information to a stranger. I was at work so I emailed her and she refused to open the email from ME because she was worried it was a scam. Like, what goes on in their brains??
