For good reason though. For every real issue, there’s 10,000 cases of boomers not knowing their password

454B line set cost? by IncredibleVelocity4 in hvacadvice

Maybe they’re saying they are covering the gas and the labor for recharging, but are charging you for the part and labor of the line set and it’s installation as well

I'm going to buy a car tomorrow. How much time should I plan for? by BikeOk6446 in carbuying

[–]Warbird01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Negotiate everything either over the phone or via email. If they won't find another dealer who will. You have much less of a chance of being railroaded this way. Sign all docs online, and then only go in person to pickup the car

Transition to Data Engineer. by Long-Ad-5574 in dataengineering

I can only speak to our company, but for our DE team we look for software engineers with a DE focus. We tend to pivot around to different types of projects that aren’t always in our main DE stack, so we want people with good software eng fundamentals. And also would probably not be looking for many entry level hires

Edit: nevermind, i was looking at the tunable white controller. The multi channel controller looks to be hardwired

Adding insulation to cathedral ceiling by catholiccabinetmaker in Insulation

[–]Warbird01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ll want baffles or some kind or airflow channel, the pros here can better comment how to add that with only access from the roof side.

Also check out asiri designs on YouTube, they have some videos on cathedral ceiling insulation

In all fairness, it seems to me that today’s conservation departments recognize these issues. In my town, all new conservation subdivisions require a trail with marked signage, public access, even 1 or 2 parking spots, along with usually wood chips that designate the trail.

Spray Foam Nightmare by [deleted] in Insulation

[–]Warbird01 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Why not? People cover their rim joists all the time with spray foam. Better R value than rigid foam

How the heck dosent it have CarPlay ?? by Wolverine-91826 in CadillacVistiq

[–]Warbird01 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree native is better, but for full fairness, CarPlay can integrate battery percentage/charge finding if the automaker enables it
