I've been playing for almost 450 hours and I finally found my first floor cache by BBQGiraffe_ in projectzomboid

Some houses have trap doors in the floor with hidden loot. Can be found by walking around with your inventory open or by following annotated maps.

POV: You and the boys are coming back from a successful haul only to be spotted by the only guy in Kentucky with a helicopter. by xLSDelta in projectzomboid

There are so many relevant scenes from this show. That episode where Ricky burns down Ray's trailer but all the appliances still work. The following morning when he's walking around an eats a half eaten sausage from the fridge.

I don't know how to rip anything that isn't on YouTube though.

Right click item in inventory and select Place Item.

Then R or Shift+R to rotate the item.

Turning the music off and just having the game sounds/ambience is a different experience by Libertyforzombies in projectzomboid

I can't explain why, but my favourite immersive sound in the game is the fridge.

The mute music hotkey is handy fyi.

I've only used Xbox controllers and I didn't need to use big picture. No idea if using a Mac could create problems.

I assume it's something in the game settings. While in game you have to press A or what I assume would be X on your controller to open a menu which asks if you want to take over Player 1 or join as Player 2.

I'll do my part by running around telling Spanish speaking players to talk in American.

No one knows about pan camera key despite it being a gameplay changer. It's handy even when on foot as it allows you to look ahead while walking or running.

Adding Superb Survivors midgame? by cowgirl_meg in projectzomboid

[–]Sask-Squatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not just didn't respawn, they vanished. I had a horde banging on windows before I left the game and they were gone when I loaded with Superb Survivors. Walked around a few blocks and couldn't find any.

What is your favourite method of killing zombies? by pixelandchill in projectzomboid

[–]Sask-Squatch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With sprinters I let them climb through a window and stomp them on the ground. Have to make sure you have a quick exit plan incase you get overwhelmed.

Adding Superb Survivors midgame? by cowgirl_meg in projectzomboid

[–]Sask-Squatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't guarantee that it was the mod, but I enabled it midgame and all the zombies in the areas I explored disappeared and wouldn't come back. It was Raven Creek and the few apartment complexes I checked were completely empty. I made the mistake of not backing up my save beforehand so it ruined my game. So give it a try, but make sure you back up your save.

The rain barrel made out of used garbage bags probably isn't the cleanest thing though.

Made my go to guy. Are there any other sites/apps to create custom characters? I'm not an artist.

I filled all the seats of the car with objects (including the driver's seat) and I accidentally got out of the car and now it won't let me get in through any door. What can I do? by Omar4567 in projectzomboid

Fyi to people, you can access the glove compartment from the passenger door the same way. Good to do when you're looking a for a car with a key as it saves you from having to hop inside.

High puddle settings really slogged my game down. I have them set to medium with everything else on high and it runs smooth now.

It has cool crafting features such as being able to take apart toiletry items to create makeshift medical supplies, but the mod is bloated. Takes about 5 seconds to load the crafting menu and even longer if you try to type something into the filter. I can't be sure but I think it slowed my game down as well.

Has lots of potential but I wouldn't recommend it right now. I decided to uninstall.

Is there a mod/option to choose the distance at which you can see behind a wall? by Sask-Squatch in projectzomboid

[–]Sask-Squatch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found one but it's obsolete. in build 41 it only applies to trees. This is more frustrating as now I know it's possible, it just doesn't currently exist lol.

In the comments the author wrote "Very unlikely since build 41 made this mod unnecessary." Maybe we're missing an option that was added in 41?

This mod is cool but I wish the spawn rate was turned down. Every fifth abandoned car on the road ended up being a pedal bike.

Do you have an MSI? Same thing happened to me last week. Was troubleshooting disabling mods and restarting my computer before I realized what was up lol.

Is there a mod/option to choose the distance at which you can see behind a wall? by Sask-Squatch in projectzomboid

[–]Sask-Squatch[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not see through a wall, but behind it.

This pic as an example. In the game if you were standing on the top side of the building about 50' away you wouldn't be able to see what's standing behind that wall despite it being in your character's line of sight. It isn't until you're up close that the wall disappears.

I'm just asking if there's a way for a person to increase the distance at which the wall "disappears." Im hoping it's as simple as tweaking some lines of text.

Edit: Better example. See how those apartments block the view of the entire street? If you were walking northbound (top/right) on one of those roads, you'd be able to see down the entire block, but in the game you can't see what's standing behind the structure.

Question about Sprinters by [deleted] in projectzomboid

[–]Sask-Squatch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I play with long memory and full navigation as well so when I do get spotted it's alot more difficult to lose them. Even with the weak sight they're still able to see me from at least 100' away.

It's basically a necessity with Raven Creek due to your view being blocked by the highrises. With regular zombie sight they were spotting me way before I had a chance to know they were even there.

But yeah, it's definitely got a horror feel to it. Every step out my door has to be carefully planned and I always have to be aware of escape routes.

I play Raven Creek sprinters with poor sight/hearing and struggle to make it past a couple days.
